I wonder if the people whining about the "superior" Japanese originals actually understand enough about the language to know if the acting was good or not? It may sound pleasing and exotic but unless you actually know the language you're just supporting listening to gibberish with necessary visual cues just to understand the gist (not the whole meaning mind you) of what's being said. If you can actually understand Japanese then you should go play the Jap version. If not you're just a poser.

Hmmmm then they must've dug up a grave to find the voice actress for naoto. Granted, she did a damn good job though, but all the voice actors/actresses in this game sound a bit beyond high achool students. It's hard to play a teenager and not sound too whiny. So it's not really a fair criticism.

It's a matter of experience, no matter which language. Like Chie's english voice. I think she's new to this voice acting department or she's the same VA of Tenten from Naruto but with a alias name. I got used to her voice when I started playing the game and in a matter of time, I think she does fit the character.

my beef for her voice actor isn't the voice. it's the acting. she needs to control her voice better, it's a bit sporadic and unbelievable with the words being said. for instance check out when her dvd gets cracked. her voice was cracked right along with it

I actually like the range of emotion. A lot better than many English VA's who seem to have the emotional range of a piece of paper. I've never heard the Japanese version before, and I don't want to. I like this just fine.
