wow i love lo-mien my best chinese food of all i go crazy every store i go to i order that its so good i want the one thta taste like the on from a store but i have tried the chicken not this one i live lo-mien i go crazy for them
Made this last night. Came out awesome. Think 10oz of pasta is a bit much. Used about 7 to8 and that was plenty. Added 1 lb cubed chicken and 1 medium julienned carrot. Thanks for all the videos Kai.
thank u, thank u so much, im enjoying a plate of lo mei noodles right now, and i felt obligated to thank u guys, by guys i mean chinese people, and even if u guys didnt invent lo mei nooddles, thank u for discovering america n creating pizza too!
This was a great video thanks but who cares which one was invented first im pretty sure it was spaghetti but noodles are tastier anyways atleast in my opinion :P
i don't know why this is being disputed it's not really questioned by historians at all that noodles were being made in china way way way before they were BROUGHT to italy :)
which tastes better? now THAT's a matter of opinion and i love both equally =)
Yeah, I just made this, but with some variations. I put some "Crystal" hot sauce in it for spice. And instead of Sesame oil, I used Olive oil. I also added shrimp and green peppers. It was so amazing. Now thanks to you, I can cook Fried Rice, and Noodles.
um a little help here my asian friends. Lets say I want to make Chicken Lo Mein, aka just adding chicken to this recipe. Do I cook the chicken breast cutlets differently, or do I just cook the chicken normally, then add the chicken pieces when I start putting that asian elixer sauce and tossing the pasta?
I'm not Asian or anything, but you'd just want to cook the chicken seperately. Depending on how much flavor you want the chicken to have, you can fry the chicken in the wok with the sauce, or you can dip/soak it in the sauce before you cook it. Beware! Alot of flavor there, lol.
I have made several of your recipes and they have all turned out fantastic. Im going to be making this with a low carb/glycemic index spaghetti noodle (Dreamfields Pasta), and putting in a bit more veggies. Still fantastic :)
China had noodles first. Noodles were introduced in Italy by Arabs (about 600 AD) who were one of many invading forces to arrive in Italy over the years
Hi i have a question i want to make this for my Family of 6 how much Spaghetti Noodles would i need & how much Sauces? Please let me know i want to make this Thank you!!
this recipe is made for a serving of 10 oz spagetti, like he says before he breaks it, as you see in the begining of the movie, he shows his pasta box, its 32 oz. meaning, he used 1/3 of that box, so equally speaking, I think you would want to make 3x the sauce for one box of 32 ounce of pasta. which would feed your family.
When you first caramelize the onion and celery, it cooks into the pasta, basically building the flavor into it They're, I'd say, the most important ingredients in this
YES YES YES! It came out wonderful! I stored this recipe in my cookbook, with your name under it! Thank you for sharing this with me! I'm just a cook, so for me t do this without burning my garlic was AWESOME! Again, thank you for sharing this!
I made this along with your General Tso's recipe, and all I can say is, WOW!!! Absolutely the best of both recipes I've ever tried. Thanks a lot, Kai, great stuff.
Very good presentation as in all of your other videos. I don't like the fluff the others put in. You just go to the heart of the matter and make it simple.
In the 13th century, an Italian explorer returned back from China. This explorer brought with him the knowledge to make pasta after seeing noodles made in China. This explorer is known throughout history as Marco Polo.
Captnkurt83, my point is that you are a very, very stupid person. Have fun at your blue collar job. My apologies to everyone else, but this idiot needs to be put in his place.
The noddles came before pasta noddles was invented just before the ming dynasty pasta was made by a travaler who had made it to china and he made the pasta by some wheet flour
everyone should kno that the Chinese invented the noodle and the Italians got during exploration and trading

It could have all originated in the Chinese culture, but that doesn't mean the italians and any other culture could not make their own version. GG.
And back to the topic, that looks good. I'll try it someday.
