@bdadancer3100 That;s just how they fly the river approach into that particular rwy used. Personally I believe it's a traffic pattern issue and other restrictions in the area that explains the odd approach.

@Brian567899every cloud in the sky isnt as clean as you think, you have many bits of shit in every cloud that creates the original molecule condensation, when you travel through a cloud there are certain areas where the condensation nuclei becomes very active, usually from up drafts and down drafts, also, during winter time its even easier to pick up crap on the wing especially through this process, every american airliner has to be cleaned once a week, hasnt been cleaned in a while thats all
