As a Christian, I'd like to apologize for the people that stand outside these clinics. Don't get me wrong, I hate abortion, but I'm not going to spread hate. The bible says that to hate your brother is spiritual murder. Them saying that people are going to hell goes completely against what Christ teaches. The people at church tell them they have an abomination growing inside them, and then call them killers when they try to avoid being labeled like that.
I mean, where's the love of God that we are all supposed to recieve? These people aren't Christians in my book. The lost are supposed to be pitied, not hated. There is supposed to be forgiveness for these girls, but, obviously, these people have never forgiven anyone in their lives. One thing that I've noticed is that really pro-lifers never really seem to have solutions to the problem. If there aren't legal abortions how is our system going to handle the huge influx of babies. Many women who get abortions get them because they don't have money to support the child. The government is going to have to support these babies instead. Where is that money going to come from?
Your responsibility is to find solutions to these problems or really you're just making noise.

The hard thing is that many adoptions are only done by americans. Few other countries besides Europe have the financial resources to adopt that many children. I think that it is just as much your responsibility to come up with solutions as anyone else!

I can't really sympathize with your cause. Why you spend your time trying to stop something that has gone on for 1000's of years baffles me. Where are these people when hundreds of thousands are dying because of our foreign policy? Abortion is a necessary evil. If you want to slow abortions down, try educating people about contraception and fighting to make it easier to adopt, which seems to get more difficult every year. Abortions are the symptom of a deeper problem, personal irresponsibility.
The same arguement could be made about most of societies ills. Rape, Murder, Theft, and many more have always existed and always will but that doesn't mean we shouldn't deal with the problem and no education doesn't solve everything because that's assuming everyone is at the same level of intelligence and wisdom and it doesn't factor in apathy.

This is ridiculous. Getting an abortion isn't ANYTHING like the horrible things Hitler did to children. For some, getting an abortion is in theirs, and the child's best interest. Instead of me being a struggling, single mom with no money, or education, I'm getting an abortion on Thursday this week.

@ConservativeAtheist Incidentally, although I'm sure Hitchens does have a negative view on abortion, although he still supports the right, I don't buy into your appropriation of the title "pro-life" because if you're anti-choice you must accept the consequences of women, actual people, dying by the thousands every year. That doesn't sound very "pro-life" to me.
I contend that I am pro-life the only way a sane and rational person can be - I'm pro-choice.

One thing that I've noticed is that really pro-lifers never really seem to have solutions to the problem. If there aren't legal abortions how is our system going to handle the huge influx of babies. Many women who get abortions get them because they don't have money to support the child. The government is going to have to support these babies instead. Where is that money going to come from?
Your responsibility is to find solutions to these problems or really you're just making noise.

@schapman235: I don't know that those numbers are correct but even if they were in alot of the cases the person would have to raise their own child obviously and only some would be handled through Adoption but whatever the solution may or may not be murdering the children isn't a viable alternative.

The hard thing is that many adoptions are only done by americans. Few other countries besides Europe have the financial resources to adopt that many children. I think that it is just as much your responsibility to come up with solutions as anyone else!

I really resent these unfair jabs at Planned Parenthood. When I was of age, I went to Planned Parenthood to get information on birth control. I got a very good education on the subject (something my parents were afraid to do). I thank them very much for the education I recieved there. To paint them as only an agency that performs abortions is unfair.

I can't really sympathize with your cause. Why you spend your time trying to stop something that has gone on for 1000's of years baffles me. Where are these people when hundreds of thousands are dying because of our foreign policy? Abortion is a necessary evil. If you want to slow abortions down, try educating people about contraception and fighting to make it easier to adopt, which seems to get more difficult every year. Abortions are the symptom of a deeper problem, personal irresponsibility.

The same arguement could be made about most of societies ills. Rape, Murder, Theft, and many more have always existed and always will but that doesn't mean we shouldn't deal with the problem and no education doesn't solve everything because that's assuming everyone is at the same level of intelligence and wisdom and it doesn't factor in apathy.
Your solution is to reward irresponsibility. Yes educate but you must also hold people accountable!

I agree that is a very common reason and if that's all they did I wouldn't personally have a problem with them but the also give Chemical Abortions in the form of a Pill called (RU-486 AKA The Abortion Pill) which kills the unborn child up to 68-days into the pregnancy.
They also refer girls to Abortion Clinics which makes them just as guilty. Saying that they are just a referal system is like saying the Guards pushing the Jews onto Trains bound for Death Camps were just a referal system!

Nice try. I am paying my way through school with that job lol. And oddly enough I'm in the medical field. I just don't think that video taping people does anything but make you seem crazy. fighting for what you believe in isn't a bad thing. But it is creepy to just sit there with a camera doing nothing.
