looked like a neat chase! If you noticed that fire truck go around the gate they are not allowed to do that. emergancy or not they must wait for the gates to raise. Great video and neat unit!

@metraF40PH163 Thanks... There are no gates on this crossing it is protected by traffic lights because of the intersection... I'm not aware of any law in Michigan, regarding emergency vehicles and grade crossing without gates...

@JayDispatcher Oh, no gates. In all 50 states they still have to stop if the lights are on. I don't think there was any danger here really but, emergancy veicles still have to stop. There have been some nasty accidents in the past involveing fire trucks and trains. Most departments will stop at the tracks though. On our train before we had a police officer run the lights as we were approaching and there was no emergancy. I hope to see this unit in the future it looks sweet!
