Hey! I just upgraded an iPhone 3G to the ipad baseband. After the process was done, the phone restarted and it's just stuck on the apple logo.

Any ideas on what I should do to fix it? It's just stuck on the apple logo and it's been like that for quite some time now. I tried plugging it in to my computer, but iTunes won't even recognize it. I would appreciate any help.

@velocity211 Hey velocity! This is what I did to fix it. Basically you need to get it to DFU mode by keeping the power button and home button pressed at the same time for about 10 seconds. Even after the iPhone restarts keep it pressed. You have to do like to 2 or 3 cycles. After that, you should be able to turn off the iPhone. Do so, and plug it in and get iTunes running. If you didn't upgrade to the iPad bands you will be able to restore it.

@velocity211 Part 2. If you did upgrade to the iPad bands then you'll need to custom restore your iPhone. Search for custom restore iPhone 3G 4.2.1 or something and follow the tutorials. I would send you a link but I haven't been able to find the tutorials I followed. If I find the page I'll post it here again, or send me an email and I can help you. It does work, though. My iPhone 3G is up and running again, and the best part it's unlocked.

@zipp0x Well I did two things at once so I cannot say which was the reason for fixing but here I will explain: I changed the usb port which I was plugging into AND I downgraded to iTunes 10.3. Hope that helps
