Every review I read keeps saying this show isn't just about the protagonists, but about America and capitalism. Should I bother trying to source the disks or will I regret it?

It's a TV series, not a movie, and yes, season 3 aired in 2009, and will be out on DVD on March 23. You can pre-order it now on Amazon for about 29 bucks.

I can't verify the authenticity of the show but I haven't heard otherwise, Mad Men is like a soap opera you should actually care about and your heart races when lies are told, people cheat, and when slapping occurs, such little things in other shows are suddenly huge in this. You know that if your sane, if not get yourself checked out and watch Mad Men

after program 2, joannie has lost her snappy lines, sal has uttered no lines but duck and draper might go for a winner take all smack down, pete and the ae's are dull and the women are soapy, this series can go soapy like dallas and that's the danger. don't beam me up quite yet,scotty, there is nothing else to watch and it has its moments.

Yes. She didn't even know she was pregnant! She got FAT at the end of Season 1. I don't know if it was makeup and padding but her face and ass were huge. In flashbacks etc., I think the baby is shown in the crib but then we find out that she gave him up for adoption without telling Pete. Did she get pregnant on the 1st show or when they did it on his couch in his office? She was on the Pill but obviously it didn't work. I hope they get together and have MORE sex!

Fist it was make up, a big part of the shows emmy nomination for using prosthetics.

Second she got pregnant on the first show, they were already dressing the actress in fat suits by the couch sex scene. The character was probably four months along.

I know she a a perscription for the pill but I don't know if she filled it. I doubt she was on it the whole pregnancy as she did not have interest in most of the office, and had less after the twist.

Actually she got on the Pill the first show also after Joan told her to. If she got pregnant the first show, then the pill wouldn't have taken effect so quickly. That's why she didn't believe it when the doctor told her. That is great makeup! I really thought she gained a lot of weight (check out her face!) like Renee Zellweger did for Bridget Jones. When is season 3 starting!
