@wolfganganderson I dont? haha, mate, unlike you I had contact with ex-soviet buddies and their families and they both said the USSR wasnt nearly as bad as the west portrayed it. the so called "waiting lines" only happened once a month or so, but of course anti-govt russians took advantage of it. this is like the native american population, when they were at war with the english, they were bad and savage, but nowadays the white americans admit they werent bad people, because they pose no threat.

Another possible reason is because Insurgents ARE using former soviet gear in the middle east, with russian suppliers in the black market. so in the end having (COMMUNIST) russians as main enemy does give some reality to the game.

@califortae The Americans supported creating Mujahiddens in Afghanistan to infiltrate the Russian invasion of Afghanistan. Who is dealing with the black market now?. War is only about business and gaining profits out of people getting killed in action. The game basically shows that the "Russians" are "bad guys" as always being showed in american media nothing new. Basically everything is cirrupt.

But you also must see the point that they are just basing the game on what would have happend if the cold war had progressed any further. Furthermore American game makers are trying to move onto new content for these type of games if Medal of Honor 2010 is any indication of it
