You guys, Nicole isn't real or alive at any point Isaac meets her in the game. Its a kind of illusion, the appreance the hivemind of the necs has to guid Isaac for his targets. Thats why she helps him with retrieving the marker after that other girl (can't remember her name) stole it....

So...I guess Isaacs just did survive his last nightmare of her at all.

We'll know what exactly happened there in Dead Space 2. As far as I know, Isaacs mental damage WILL be a major factor in playing Dead Space 2, meaning it will be a challenge from time to time to wander if someone/something in front of Isaac is real, or just a hallucination.  That concept was applied to Dead Space: Extracion.

Well i read in an interview about Dead Space: Evacuation one of the Designers simple answered the Question about Isaacs Fate with "Isaac's the Icon. He isn't dead yet, so..." So i think he survived and it was just a... cheap-scare out of the story. But the "yet" confuses me a little...

Except that I didn't "run and gun" it. The only time I had more than enough ammo was when I went through only carrying the Cutter. And, no matter how you play it the latter half of the game isn't scary because of the hordes of enemies. As well, sorry I don't spend five minutes in each room because I'm scared to move on? I went through like I would have anyways, and I enjoyed it just fine.

Also; walkthrough/Let's Play, not review. I've yet to see a Let's Play where they review it at the end.

You rushed it through on medium difficulty and you kept complaining about lack of ammo and too many enemies and little horror. Actually I'm quite positive you don't. You have to remember that this is the first rest Isaac's gotten in some time, comparatively, and he did just find out the love of his life was dead. Chances are it was another hallucination.

That, and even if she was real, Isaac probably just killed her like all the other ones, it's not like she attacked right away.

you know what, for bosses like Vagina, tentacles, and Hive Mind, i recommend the only weapon in entire game - Pulse Rifle. (everything else are just mining tools). when i was playing "Dead Space" second time, i had maxed out Rifle when i met Vagina. Ad i took it down in around 40 seconds.
