The reason the countries of Africa aren't in debt is because they have very low credit scores, and no one will buy their bonds, so they can't go in debt. Who would you rather buy a bond from, the US or Ghana? I'll put my money on the US. That is the reason they can't get money, because no one will invest in them, whereas the US can pay back its debt those countries cannot.

The Arab slave trade (arabs enslaving africans) existed in the 8th to the 19th centuries (but continued in the 20th century no doubt), and the last country in the world to officially make slavery illegal was Mauritania in 1981. Mauritania is close to 100% Muslim. I never knew about the Arab slave trade until I began researching Islam. UK schools don't teach it whatsoever, but teach loads about the Atlantic slave trade.

Pay attention to how many "honor killings" there are in the United States committed by Muslim men against women. Dr. Savage is correct in pointing out that Muslim countries oppress female citizens. For as much as people whine about lack of human rights in the United States, women and men of all races, genders, and orientations STILL have it better here than most other countries.

You also forget history - before the slave trade came to the United States, it started in Africa, where black people were selling their own people off. And as far as the Civil Rights movement, if it weren't for rich, affluent REPUBLICANS, African-Americans wouldn't be free because Democrats fought against the passage of the first five CRA's, one of them granting freedom to black slaves. @nilbud Phyllis Chesler completed a study identifying more than 50 instances of honor killings in North America including Aasiya Zubair in Buffalo, NY in February 2011. Try doing more research other than looking up stuff on Wikipedia.
