Uyghurs are not treated badly by the CCP, the people who are treated badly by the CCP are the Han Chinese. Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities have a lot of priviledges in China. Han Chinese do not have any prviledges and Han Chinese are treated badly by the government.
I heard that uyghurs are better treated than Han by the CCP.
CCP is afraid of Han, because if Han rebel, CCP would be destroyed. That's why CCP tries to control and to oppress Han.
Ughur students get unfair bonus points in the exams in Chinese high schools, not because they are smart, just because they are minorities. Minorities have a lot of priviledges in China, but Han don't have any priviledge.
@sadirman about Islam; it has keep people calm in places like war-torn Iraq and Afghanistan. About the Dalai Lllama; he's really a wolf in a sheep's costume imo; seeing as he's a religious/political leader in one; one of the most controversial roles, look what he has to say about "sex", a disgusting remark.
Man I love how people like quant4life talk shit of which they don't bother to research of rather. Hell as far as being exterminated; war is hell. There's a reason why the Romans lasted long for over 2000 years because they don't throw fits liberal hippie pussy foot shit around.
@sadirman I was describing the what would be the "norms" of that time, every one was in the same business it was a kill or be killed. It was not uncommon in any part of the world.
Hell the Ming dynasty should of exterminated the Manchurian for all they're worth. Teaching people to learn Mandarin is not genocide, like teaching illegal immigrants to learn English is not genocide. Assimilation=/=Genocide.
Let's see, the governor must be an uighur check, the uighur language is the official language, check, china uses taxpayer money from other regions to develop mosques and economic development check. Oh but please go on.
Playing the devil's advocate. jews were marginalised many times throughout the world and they still managed to move on and make a name for themselves. It's a pattern with muslims to focus on religion and those that are sucessful are because of oil.
@Synthe Surely you jest. The governor is Uyghur, sure. Collaborators always exist in occupied territories. Norway under the Nazis had Quisling, and France had Petain. But as in this case, they have little real power. In Xinjiang, the real power is in the CCP Chair, who is ALWAYS Han, and not even from Xinjiang. It's the same as in Tibet - a Tibetan picked officially "governor," but real power resting in the local CCP Chairman, who is always Han. Not that either is democratically elected anyway.
The war against the Afghan security forces, the Americans and their ISAF allies is still being conducted from Pakistan.
The country is an important safe haven for enemy forces -- and serves as a base for issuing their deployment. New recruits to the Taliban stream across the Pakistan-Afghan border, including feared foreign fighters -- among them Arabs, Chechnyans, Uzbekis, Uighurs and even European Islamists.
@bleupeony2 : The Wike leak documents explains how the Uighurs are part of the network of international terrorists. And this Uighur terrorism is continuing, with an attack on Uighur security police in Xinjiang, China this week.
see u t ube video: Wikileaks Afghanistan War Logs: Massive leak of secret files exposes truth about war :; google search Uighurs for story of bombing of Uighurs by Uighurs in China.
@videochemist : Yes, they usually do not allow comments.
On the issue of Uighurs and terrorism, we must remember that not all Uighurs live in Xinjiang, not all live in China, they live in Mongolia, Pakistan, Tajikistan, kirgiz, Kazakistan, Uzbeckistan and Turkmenistan. they have a cause that would make their "homeland" extend from Turkey thru China!!!
Some of these Uighurs, in all of these countries, do have connections with Al Qaeda, and the US HAS supported Uighur violence.
@videochemist : Seven persons, four of them uniformed Uighur policemen working for the Ministry of Public Security at Aksu in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, were killed on August 19,2010, when an Uigur man and a woman approached a group of 15 Uighur policemen returning to a police station after performing their night beat duty and threw an explosive device at them.
east turkestan was doing a fine job of preserving and protecting uighur culture until the imperial CCP bling dynasty invaded, settling thousands of colonial ex-soldiers in the region. even under the manchu dynasty, which wasn't chinese, uighurs basically were autonomous. like tibet and mongolia, east turkestan was invaded for its resources and fertile land. it is a colonial project just like israel in palestine and england-france-spain in the americas.
Uighurs were the most powerful members of the Turkic Oghuz confederation, which included other clans such as the Khaljis. The yabghu of the Uighurs, Etmish Qutlugh Bilge, was a vassal of the Blue Turks when they were at the height of their glory under Kul Tegin and Bilge Kha’Khan.
@bleupeony2 : The pretender Özmish Khan seized the Blue Turk throne, three Altaic tribes, namely the Basmils from the region around modern Kucheng, the Uighurs from the region between the Kobdo and Selenga, and the Qarluqs from Eastern end of the Balkash Lake, tried to seize the empire of Mongolia. The Basmil made the first attempt by marching on Özmish Khan in 744 CE; they killed him in the battle and his capital Ötuegen was captured.
@bleupeony2 :They sold his severed head to the Chinese Emperor Hsuan Tsung hoping to obtain patronage from China. Confident of Chinese aid the lord of the Basmil Turks declared himself Kha’khan and the supreme ruler of all Mongolia. However, the Chinese governor Shuo Fang betrayed him when the yabghus of the Uighurs and Qarluqs made common cause with each other. This huge Uighur-Qarluq horde marched on Basmils in late 744.
@bleupeony2 : The Basmil army was beaten thoroughly by this coalition and its Kha’Khan was beheaded. The survivors were distributed as naukers amidst the victors or sold to the Chinese, and Basmil tribe was erased off the slate of Mongolian history.
Xinjiang is an arguably Chinese territory.. Soviets and China made a pact so that East Turkestan would be given to China.. I don't have anything against chinese, and I understand them, no one would give an independence to such nice territories, especially when land is so precious for densely peopled countri like China - I just think it is normal to admit some facts.
@quant4life : Your facts are slanted, sue to the US, CIA, planting so much "historis revision" as "history." Please see my other comments on this board.
Also, the Uighurs, who were nomadic, migrated from areas near Turkey thru Central Asia, into Mongolia. Only after their ruthless empire in Mongolia failed, when the Mongolians took back their land, did the Uighrs flee into far west Xinjiang, seeking protection from the Chinese.
u're talking crap dude - how the hell Uigurs came FROM areas near Turkey?? The Turks are actually descendants of Turkic Oguz tribe, any Turk can tell you this.No Turkic people came from west - we all migrated FROM EAST to WEST. Uigurs, Kazaks, Kyrgyz have inhabited East Turkestan since it appeared on the earth face. How would you explain that the cities and towns of Xinjang are called: Urumchi, Korla, Aksu (while water), Turfan, Altay, Khotan - these are all indigenous, Turkic names
@quant4life : Urumchi is not the original name of this city. It used to be called Ou Lu Mu chi. It means "The town she was born/marraied in. It was Chinese. China changed it to Urumchi to accomodate, and honour the many Uighurs living in western Xinjiang. Not that many Uighurs lived in Ou Lu Mu Chi.
Ok, what about the others - Aksu, Khotan, Altay, Turfan for example, they are mentioned in historical archives as being ancient cities & trade towns. And not chinese - for example Mogulistan, it included territory of East. Turk., Kyrgyzstan, and south of Kazakhstan, AND was inhabited and ruled by Kazakh & Kyrgyz. You can check it in wiki. Then Temirlan - the lands of Mogulistan were conquered by him, but the people stayed the same. U see, not only China have "right" for these lands.
Xinjiang is NOT the "motherland" of the Uighurs, nor the "Turk."
The very first people to live in far western Xinjiang were persian, then the Chinese. Hundreds of years before the failed Uighur state in Mongo;lia collapsed, and the Uighurs sought refuge in China.
Folks, do not believe the political propaganda from some of the Uighurs, who recieve money for their anti-China campaign from the USA.
Bush started this, when oil was discovered in Western China, there is photo that shows this
it would wise to give small bussiness loans to the women of the markets places to improve to market place with building small booths small stores ventor stands water and sewers for the public markets
Thank you for the report. And the opportunity to comment. Lets correct some of the false information.
1. Xinjiang is NOT the homeland of the Uighurs.
2. China did NOT invade the Uighur homelans, of Xinjiang, since they were in Xinjiand decades BEFORE Uighurs fled Mongolia to settle in Xinjiang.
3. The Chinese Gov has invested in economic opportunities for Uighurs, and other Muslims living in Xinjiang, but the Uighgurs refuse to become employed.
The ex- Singaporean leader (Lee Kwan Yew) felt it is unnecessarily to waste money & resources to help a bunch of lower IQ unproductive group of people (Austronesian) to improve their lives. That is how he created Singapore, made of 80% very high IQ Han Chinese, a small little isolated island but its economy's among top of the world, thus 1st class country. Uighurs/Turkish people are unintelligent yet very violent due to Islamic teaching & high testosterone hormone, thus pointless to help them.
saying that a Turkic-speaking people has lesser IQ than Han Chinese is quite chauvinistic, isn't it? i heard that Hans are of that racist nature, but didn't know it is true.. until now.
Simply denying the existence of IQ variation among different races would not help your community at all. Google the "world IQ map" or read the relevant research findings. That is a difference between racist & "race realist" you know ?! Take the 5000 years history as example, which civilization successfully thrived till present? Which nation was always most advanced before European rise in 17th century? Come to my channel to watch some videos.
more advanced? what about arabs and persians in math, astronomy, medicine, with europeans later using all these findings... why did u built a Great Wall if u were so advanced huh? to protect urself from our ancestors! Not ur invention of paper, nor the gunpowder helped u against steppe courage, fierce sabres, and keen arrows.. and we did conquer u not once but many times - all ur dynasties are of foreign origin - zhuzhans, mongols, hunns, manchus - we all ruled u. "advanced" )
regarding the IQ - i bet in China countryside there're no "Ensteins" either ) the Xinjang is mostly countryside, plus the fact that in the most schools there u teach in Chinese only, very few teach in Turkic languages. u should be either Chinese or Turkic people to tell that those languages are TOTALLY different. Like Russian and English. Or even farther. That's why IQ is lower, 'cause Han Chinese's policy is to assimilate and destroy other cultures, languages.
@quant4life Assimilate my ass, Han is an amalgam of many ethnic groups you dumb shit. China is only a modern concept. There was no such thing as as "China" prior to the 20th century, but different countries that occupy the land. Great Wall was built/refined by different political entities from time to time. Chinese is only nationality not a race. Huns/Xiongnu never ruled China they got their asses kicked by the Han and driven off. Mongols and their allies conquered the Song which took 150 yrs.
@quant4life What is considered Chinese today varied from time from time depending on the dynasty and the kingdoms (or countries) that existed in what we call "China"; just like how Europe's political identity changed form time to time.
Advanced meaning they were the first to used things like paper (toilet paper to wipe your ass), compasses to guide travelers, abacus to calculate, gunpowder which led to the first guns/cannons/flamethrowers/landmines/fuck you name it by the Song Dynasty. "Chinese" were the first to utilize Steel in their weapons and used them in war. They were 1st to use the Bessemer process in steel production. The manchurians didn't do shit but brought China into the dark ages and be humiliated by europeans
No foul language pls, I didn't go into personals with any of you Hans here. Great, I'm not underestimating the discoveries u did, but u're not alone in this. Period.
And don't u find it strange that despite technological supremacy in weaponry, u were defeated by horsemen with sabres and bows? Is it because they were so good, or ur advancement are exaggerated? )
@quant4life Oh sorry for foulness. Issues in Han history is rather complex it's more politics/internal issues than technological edge in reality. You have traitors on one hand. As far as Song Dynasty being conquered by the Mongols, they were the last to be defeated, after the European Knights,Persia, etc. The advancement weren't exaggerated, it's more than just Song vs Mongolia, but rather North vs South War in reality that dragged on for decades
@quant4life . Defeat by horseman were exaggerated , and many of the mongols formed a alliance with allies called the "Yuan Dynasty". The mongols did not play as a role much as their allies did in defeating the Song. It was a struggle between 5 kingdoms/countries who almost equally matched, The North Song,South Song,West Xia, Liao, and Jin as rivalries. The mongols had to form an alliance with the north countries to even stand a chance in taking the south. and plenty of other internal problems.
@quant4life The type of weapons these countries fought each other with were rather unmatched for it's time period. The had explosives, landmines/ seamines, trebuchets, flamethrowers, (god forbid) the deadly song arbalest are some examples of weapons of war. Many innovations at that time like hydraulics, odometers, math/science, the first Supernova explosion was witness in China.
The "Yuan Dynasty (allaince of mongol/north song/jin/liao/w.xia) employed the same weapons as the southern song country that went on for more 150 years. the defeat of the Song was truly overhypped; when in fact they fared far better than anyone else.
I think is just an exaggeration , at least in this videos i don't them in any poor people , maybe they need more development but they are not in a starving situation at all.
The Beijing Maoist state (or post Maoist state) ,Claimed every region that the past Imperial monarchical Chinese state had rule over. if it was not for the soviet union ,Mongolia would also be under Chinese Yoke.
China is trying to integrate and accommodate the Uighurs, The Uyghurs should fight for more autonomy and self government rather then full blown independence, same goes with Tibet.
"quality of life cant improve whilst fear governs the life of many " typical al-jazeera propaganda. A--l Jazeera never reports on the fear of terrorism used in the the uk and us not to mention the cctv. Chinese economey is on the rise and china is taking the seat of world economical superpower i guess Al-Jazeera don't like the idea.. tuff
@Lucifer986 How is it propaganda? All Al Jazeera is doing giving voice to the voiceless and telling a story that is not often heard. Does every story have to be about how those poor little westerners are living under the constant fear of the big bad terrorist coming to their house?
@BubbaGump332 : I believe the problem with this report, is Al Jazeera did allow both sides to state their positions, so one should not claim that the Uighur's position is Al jareer's position. Unfortunately, many will think Al Jareeza is stating the false information that in fact the Uighurs are stating.
@Lucifer986 Just wanting to tell you that you are full of shit. Al Jazeera is one of the most independent and objective media groups in the world. It's just YOU who doesn't like factual reportage. And guess what, Al Jazeera and every other media group with continue to write about China as long as you Chinese want to be the rulers/dictators of the world. If you don't like it, well, tough luck.
@WarrenEdwardBuffet : Al Jareeza is not responsible for the false information stated by the Uighurs. Al Jareeza is only reporting the lies and propaganda pouring out of the mouths of the Uighurs.
In fact, there are plenty of Muslims in Xinjiang who oppose the Uighurs. Xinjiang is NOT the "motherland" of the Uighurs nor Turks.
@GuyInvincible111 I agree with you. I wonder why UN and other international ORG are just watching the colonization in the 21st century although Chinese invasion in other regions are pretty obvious. Al Jazeera titled this video as Chinese policy's mixed results, but it looks more like Chinese policy segregates the Chinese social status from Islamic natives.
let's not forget, beijing invaded east turkestan and annexed against the will of its people, then used it for above ground nuclear testing. it's believed between 1-5M uighurs have died from radioactive contamination.
since 1911, when the manchu collapsed, chinese leaders have attempted to recreate the manchu empire which wasn't chinese and was one of the most aggressive aggrandizing empires in history. beijing thinks it inherited that empire which is perfect bullocks. FREE TIBET FREE UIGHURESTAN
@bleupeony2 Hard to believe your story too when it involves US funneling whatever money we don't have to spur some violence on the country that's so interdependent with our economy not to mention funds it. Plus history revision? CIA? What the.. Stop using us as excuses. I just wanna get good information from yall and some of your posts smell of crackpot ranting. the CIA are just a bunch of fuckups. They aren't even the primary counter intel agency anymore. try again on that one.
@bleupeony2 lol no wake up needed. The relationship between the bush and bin laden families are well known. He's just a symbol, and people are reluctant to use him these days. There are books about it....many books. house of bush house of saud is a decent one on it.
as for funding, who don't we fund? It's hard for "US funds such n' such" to matter because we indirectly fund a lot of groups including our enemies. Such is the curse of free market. all that can be read on wiki leaks.
@mispistoleros by your logic, Washington inheriting the colonies of the British Empire, French and Spanish colonial territories is also perfect bullocks. FREE THE AMERICAS!
Europeans and Americans and the Japanese have no right, no moral authority to accuse China of aggression and empire building in view of the past 4, 5 hundred years of human history.
welcome to Capitalism :)

Actually, according to historical records, Uyghurs came to Xinjiang much later than Han Chinese.
Uyghurs came to Xinjiang during late Tang Dynasty (around 800AD), while Han Chinese came to Xinjiang during Han Dynasty (around 100BC).
The original homeland of Uyghurs was Mongolian plateau, not Xinjiang.

Uyghurs are not treated badly by the CCP, the people who are treated badly by the CCP are the Han Chinese. Uyghurs and other ethnic minorities have a lot of priviledges in China. Han Chinese do not have any prviledges and Han Chinese are treated badly by the government.

TheXanian 1 year ago

I heard that uyghurs are better treated than Han by the CCP.
CCP is afraid of Han, because if Han rebel, CCP would be destroyed. That's why CCP tries to control and to oppress Han.
Ughur students get unfair bonus points in the exams in Chinese high schools, not because they are smart, just because they are minorities. Minorities have a lot of priviledges in China, but Han don't have any priviledge.

Playing the devil's advocate. jews were marginalised many times throughout the world and they still managed to move on and make a name for themselves. It's a pattern with muslims to focus on religion and those that are sucessful are because of oil.

Urumqi is pretty modern but the south of Xinjiang where the Uighur majority areas like Aksu and Kashgar are still pretty backward.
I went their last year so I know this for a fact.

@kingmafi6699 and you know the reason, or at least think about or observe something. why those cities are backward. right?
sadirman 1 year ago

Some of these Uighurs, in all of these countries, do have connections with Al Qaeda, and the US HAS supported Uighur violence.
bleupeony2 1 year ago
@videochemist : Seven persons, four of them uniformed Uighur policemen working for the Ministry of Public Security at Aksu in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region, were killed on August 19,2010, when an Uigur man and a woman approached a group of 15 Uighur policemen returning to a police station after performing their night beat duty and threw an explosive device at them.

east turkestan was doing a fine job of preserving and protecting uighur culture until the imperial CCP bling dynasty invaded, settling thousands of colonial ex-soldiers in the region. even under the manchu dynasty, which wasn't chinese, uighurs basically were autonomous. like tibet and mongolia, east turkestan was invaded for its resources and fertile land. it is a colonial project just like israel in palestine and england-france-spain in the americas.
it is illegitimate and indefensible.

Uighurs were the most powerful members of the Turkic Oghuz confederation, which included other clans such as the Khaljis. The yabghu of the Uighurs, Etmish Qutlugh Bilge, was a vassal of the Blue Turks when they were at the height of their glory under Kul Tegin and Bilge Kha’Khan.
bleupeony2 1 year ago
@bleupeony2 : The pretender Özmish Khan seized the Blue Turk throne, three Altaic tribes, namely the Basmils from the region around modern Kucheng, the Uighurs from the region between the Kobdo and Selenga, and the Qarluqs from Eastern end of the Balkash Lake, tried to seize the empire of Mongolia. The Basmil made the first attempt by marching on Özmish Khan in 744 CE; they killed him in the battle and his capital Ötuegen was captured.
bleupeony2 1 year ago
@bleupeony2 :They sold his severed head to the Chinese Emperor Hsuan Tsung hoping to obtain patronage from China. Confident of Chinese aid the lord of the Basmil Turks declared himself Kha’khan and the supreme ruler of all Mongolia. However, the Chinese governor Shuo Fang betrayed him when the yabghus of the Uighurs and Qarluqs made common cause with each other. This huge Uighur-Qarluq horde marched on Basmils in late 744.
bleupeony2 1 year ago
@bleupeony2 : The Basmil army was beaten thoroughly by this coalition and its Kha’Khan was beheaded. The survivors were distributed as naukers amidst the victors or sold to the Chinese, and Basmil tribe was erased off the slate of Mongolian history.

Xinjiang is an arguably Chinese territory.. Soviets and China made a pact so that East Turkestan would be given to China.. I don't have anything against chinese, and I understand them, no one would give an independence to such nice territories, especially when land is so precious for densely peopled countri like China - I just think it is normal to admit some facts.
quant4life 1 year ago
@quant4life : Your facts are slanted, sue to the US, CIA, planting so much "historis revision" as "history." Please see my other comments on this board.
Also, the Uighurs, who were nomadic, migrated from areas near Turkey thru Central Asia, into Mongolia. Only after their ruthless empire in Mongolia failed, when the Mongolians took back their land, did the Uighrs flee into far west Xinjiang, seeking protection from the Chinese.
bleupeony2 1 year ago
@bleupeony2
u're talking crap dude - how the hell Uigurs came FROM areas near Turkey?? The Turks are actually descendants of Turkic Oguz tribe, any Turk can tell you this.No Turkic people came from west - we all migrated FROM EAST to WEST. Uigurs, Kazaks, Kyrgyz have inhabited East Turkestan since it appeared on the earth face. How would you explain that the cities and towns of Xinjang are called: Urumchi, Korla, Aksu (while water), Turfan, Altay, Khotan - these are all indigenous, Turkic names
quant4life 1 year ago
@quant4life : Urumchi is not the original name of this city. It used to be called Ou Lu Mu chi. It means "The town she was born/marraied in. It was Chinese. China changed it to Urumchi to accomodate, and honour the many Uighurs living in western Xinjiang. Not that many Uighurs lived in Ou Lu Mu Chi.
bleupeony2 1 year ago
@bleupeony2

The very first people to live in far western Xinjiang were persian, then the Chinese. Hundreds of years before the failed Uighur state in Mongo;lia collapsed, and the Uighurs sought refuge in China.

Uighurs/Turkish people are unintelligent yet very violent due to Islamic teaching & high testosterone hormone, thus pointless to help them.

more advanced? what about arabs and persians in math, astronomy, medicine, with europeans later using all these findings... why did u built a Great Wall if u were so advanced huh? to protect urself from our ancestors! quant4life 1 year ago
@smartgirlfat
regarding the IQ - i bet in China countryside there're no "Ensteins" either ) the Xinjang is mostly countryside, plus the fact that in the most schools there u teach in Chinese only, very few teach in Turkic languages. u should be either Chinese or Turkic people to tell that those languages are TOTALLY different. Like Russian and English. Or even farther. That's why IQ is lower, 'cause Han Chinese's policy is to assimilate and destroy other cultures, languages.
quant4life 1 year ago
@quant4life Assimilate my ass, Han is an amalgam of many ethnic groups you dumb shit. China is only a modern concept. There was no such thing as as "China" prior to the 20th century, but different countries that occupy the land. Great Wall was built/refined by different political entities from time to time. Chinese is only nationality not a race. Huns/Xiongnu never ruled China they got their asses kicked by the Han and driven off. Mongols and their allies conquered the Song which took 150 yrs.

No foul language pls, I didn't go into personals with any of you Hans here. Great, I'm not underestimating the discoveries u did, but u're not alone in this. Period.
And don't u find it strange that despite technological supremacy in weaponry, u were defeated by horsemen with sabres and bows? Is it because they were so good, or ur advancement are exaggerated? )
quant4life 1 year ago
@quant4life Oh sorry for foulness. Issues in Han history is rather complex it's more politics/internal issues than technological edge in reality. You have traitors on one hand. As far as Song Dynasty being conquered by the Mongols, they were the last to be defeated, after the European Knights,Persia, etc. The advancement weren't exaggerated, it's more than just Song vs Mongolia, but rather North vs South War in reality that dragged on for decades
kamikazeroniner 1 year ago
@quant4life . Defeat by horseman were exaggerated , and many of the mongols formed a alliance with allies called the "Yuan Dynasty". The mongols did not play as a role much as their allies did in defeating the Song. It was a struggle between 5 kingdoms/countries who almost equally matched, The North Song,South Song,West Xia, Liao, and Jin as rivalries. The mongols had to form an alliance with the north countries to even stand a chance in taking the south. and plenty of other internal problems.
kamikazeroniner 1 year ago
@quant4life The type of weapons these countries fought each other with were rather unmatched for it's time period. The had explosives, landmines/ seamines, trebuchets, flamethrowers, (god forbid) the deadly song arbalest are some examples of weapons of war. Many innovations at that time like hydraulics, odometers, math/science, the first Supernova explosion was witness in China.
kamikazeroniner 1 year ago
The "Yuan Dynasty (allaince of mongol/north song/jin/liao/w.xia) employed the same weapons as the southern song country that went on for more 150 years. the defeat of the Song was truly overhypped; when in fact they fared far better than anyone else.
