Saw these guys last night and they put on an AWESOME show! If you are a Beatles fan, you will not be disappointed. Their musicianship is just SO good, you will think you ARE at an actual Beatles concert. Highlight: I Feel Fine and A Day in the Life.
@andantinowithaswager ya wen he played yesterday but they made it look lefty on the screen where i was at hes probably a righty and it was to hard to train himself to play guitar lefty
@andantinowithaswager I was gonna say the same thing... I don't know much bout the Beatles.. so I don't know how true to life that was.. but I still found it very impressive to be able to play an instrument at a very decent level both ways.. I know I couldn't
I saw them on 1-27-10 too and thought they were excellent. They are NOT the Beatles, but they did a great job and I think the money I paid for our tickets was well worth it.
I have to tell you, I saw "RAIN" last night 1/27/2010 and was extremely disapointed. I had no prblem spending the $100.00 per ticket (5) but was not only disapointed in their sound, but their overall choice of songs. I have seen better. As amatter of fact, one of the best tribute bands I have seen, was a band whos lead singer was Brad Delp former lead singer for the band "BOSTON". As you know, Brad committed suicide and those you never saw this tribute band, lost out.
lighten up kids...yeah, I'm sure most of you are young kids. But, being very close to 100's of trib bands, I'd say Rain is very much towards the top..higher than many so-called famous tribs.
Also, these guys have been doing the Beatle thing for well over 30 years and still have fun doing it and just don't go through the motions like many other trib band do.
I just saw Rain and they're very good but, sorry, I still think The Fab Four are the best Beatles tribute band. I have seen many, including 1964, but The Fab Four are the best. Rain comes in a very close second.
Go and look up what the term TRIBUTE means. Right handed bass is very disrespectful, to the man, the Bands history and more things than I can mention here.!!! It's like having a Elvis tribute artist, doing a Vegas song wearing a three piece suit & a pony tail.!
the only thing i have to complain about them is (well two actually) that they have five people and that it takes them a while to get back on stage for an encore....
and it s been a while, but isnt their paul right handed...
I saw them back in..July I think? It was when they went to the Melody tent in Cape Cod, and it certainly was a stunning performance. I especially like the Abbey road songs they did, some awesome musicianship there.
Yeah, Joey is the best Paul. I was upfront, really close in one of their shows, and he smiled at me and I could hardly control myself xD He's so cute.
Just saw Rain on PBS perform "Hey Jude". The entire song was lip synced. What's with that? I've seen the Mop Tops and their John Lennon looks exactly like a young John. They are also quite good.
As a musician, I was also impressed, seeing them on PBS, but I must say that after close scrutiny and years of running live sound myself, they are lip-synching! But they're pretty good at the lip-synch! nice horn section! not!
aw. i wish that they at least had some resemblance to the actual beatles. because paul was really handsome in the 60s, but hes way too old for me now. :( but i do want to see these people live.
I went to see them at the bpston opra house. THEY ARE SOOO AMAZING! I thought i was at a real beatles concert. The other crapy tribute bands are nothing to them! THEY RULE!
Rain is by far the best. They play every Beatle song exactly note-for-note! If you are a die-hard Beatles fan, this band is NOT to be missed! "...a splendid time is guaranteed for all!" (The audio feed here does NOT do the band justice!)
Sounds good. I also really like the Faux Four headed by Will Lee. They don't look the part, but they nail the music and harmonies every time!

Not the VERY best I've seen, cause the best one I saw even had a left-handed bass player haha =P

The Fab Four are better than these guys, even their "Paul McCartney" is left handed. Actually, he learned to play bass with the left.

i honestly wouldn't say fab four is better.
#1. Joey from Rain is a better singer then Ardy
#2. ARdy does do some songs very well, but others so-so. His best is Can't Buy Me love
#3. Yesterday Joey sings better.
#4. Both do some songs really, really well.
I have heard ARdy do Wings, and his Silly Love Songs is terrible., listen to it on youtube. I know, that isn't the beatles but still
