My 30% figure is taken from a history I read some time ago and I trust that the author was careful in his analysis. I have seen some figures recently which dispute the 30% number but then again I dispute other myths such as "I can not tell a lie, yes, I chopped down the cherry tree". If you choose to believe that a majority of English citizens in the colonies favored the revolution, gee ok.
