Your comment is well taken. But this colorful word doesn't carry its intended meaning everywhere. Jeremy substituted a neutral word for "niggerballs" during the London run of his show "Wait a Minim" more than 40 years ago. So there is precedence. In the US, where we recorded this APD, it would have been impossible for general audiences to properly hear the charm of the song if that red-herring phrase had popped out in every chorus. Alas this was not posted solely in South Africa. --RLB

Voetsek means Go Away, lol I can do, it can mean several things depending on the expression you use saying it lol His intonation means FO. lol. I wish he sang the entire song though. :-)

Wow. That's what it's come to. Jeremy had to censor his own song. The candy wasn't called "Sugar Balls", they were called "Nigger Balls" and as a kid it or an adult it never crossed my mind that those lyrics were racist or even mildly racially insensitive. Anyone who knew anything about JT knew he was no fan of the Apartheid system.
