  • Takes my breath away. Amazing. I have an ETX 125 and I can't get images as good as that. Maybe I need to get new eye pieces.

  • @RobQos Give it a go! Just hold the camera steady behind the eyepiece and view on LCD screen and snap away or maybe in video mode - good luck;-0

  • cool thx

  • But that is not the 884 feild tripod where could i purchase a tripod like this?

  • @josephafa Just had an old tripod to hand with adjustable head - scope setup in 'equatorial' mode [via tripod thread on scope base] to track objects in sky better.

  • What kind of mount is that? Looks like your polar alighned am I correct?

  • @josephafa correct - scope inclined to my latitude and polar axis aimed at Polaris on sturdy tripod;-)

  • Nice video !

  • totally off topic but would it be good to switch from a Celestron Astromaster 114 EQ to a Celestron 114 LCM Computerized or Meade ETX-70?

  • @Amatoposters For stargazing aperture counts and 114mm better than 70mm but goto on any scope is nice;-)

  • lol how did you manage to do this using a 4mm eyepiece

  • By progessively using higher power eyepieces but starting with a low power eyepiece to centre Venus. It's tricky but possible;-)

  • Yeah but how did you keep the camera steady this whole time

  • is the ETX-80 better then the ETX-70, if so or if not, why?

  • The ETX-60/70/80 are essentially identical except for slight increasing aperture of the front lens - go for the one that is best value at the time.

  • Awesome Stuff great little scope!

  • great stuff
