  • jajaj la gente no entendia nada lo que estaba pasando jjaa llegaba el rock para quedarse

  • that motherfucker was sexy!!! get it lil richard, get it!

  • I'm concerned that I missed some crucial point here, Evidently Little Richard cannot be a great performer unless Prince, AC/DC, every black, or white rock, blues or pop musician sucks. Is it conceivably possible that Little Richard can be good as well as Prince. Or does it have to be either or?

  • @chipthebiker1 It is "CONCEIVABLY POSSIBLE" that Prince Stole his act from Little Richard!

  • This vid was shot way, way, WAY before my time. But I gotta admit he had it going on back in the day. He goes on my Retroactive Hot List.

  • Google: esquerita-the-other-originator-of-rock-n-roll-camp

  • What the f... is he doing??? He is just standing there...naked....doing nothing....i think he didn't know what to do....the singing was also bad. No Richard, not a very good performance.Sorry.

  • there's a reason why the music industry want to keep blacks from doing rock music. might end up with mini Jimi Hendrixes and Little Richards and the white bands gotta work harder to sound great.

  • The guy at 0:50 realizes that it was a terrible idea to go to a little richard concert deaf.....so he disliked the video...haha (i dont usually do this but it needed to be said)

  • @MrDeltaMaster Hilarious that you wrote this

  • @acarouselofantics haha thanks

  • fans there were like wtf

  • He was a pretty handsome man in his youth. I can see now the reasoning for his claim to be the innovator. Very talented.

  • Many artists have stolen aspects of presentation ie his looks. Prince, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger many bands and as he says he was 'the original'. He's got a inimitable falsetto high pitched voice and he's even performed with Elton and that must say something. Little Richard is a innovator of rock music and has heaps of respect.

  • I'm a retired newspaperman. I interviewed Richard in a hotel room in New Orleans around 1970. As everybody knows, he's as gay as he can be. He had his hair up in curlers, and wouldn't let my photographer enter the room, just me. Interesting guy and a fantastic performer.

  • @zapatatales I've never seen him out of his stage persona. What was he like off stage? Do you have a link to the article?

  • @thighmister Don't have anything. It happened 40 years ago, and the newspaper (New Orleans States-Item) is now defunct. If you see any interview with him on video, it's pretty much how he was with me. He's quite a talker. It was hard to get a word in edgewise. Nice guy actually.

  • Its like .."can you atleast wring that shirt out before you throw it at us"

  • Little Richard was pretty buff back in those days!

  • Little Richard dont look so Little here! haha.. I never thought of him as good looking but he really was.. .What an amazing rock energy! He probably could've have been the King of Rock if Elvis and Little Richard were born in a more recent era... I think Elvis had an amazing voice and stage presents but Little Richard really rocks it.. In voice energy and moves.. wow!!!

  • Hehe 0:08 vincent cassel was here

  • Dear Prince,

We love you. Your songs rule. But, you stole someone else's act.

    Sincerely,

    Pay Mr. Penniman several million.

  • @tommyrock69 Prince can't hold a candle to Little Richard.

  • @tommyrock69 WOW That's a heavy thought!!!

  • Is it me, or does he look like he could be Beyonce's brother?

  • I had no idea Richard was so sexy!! Go man, go!!

  • who gives a shite if is gay or not is, little richard he can be what the fuck he wants HE IS A TRUE ROCKANDROLLAR

  • @motorhead168 Ain't nobody mentioned that until you just did.

  • @motorhead168 .....he was gay for a short time but said he left that lifestyle when he found out God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. I saw him say that years ago on a TV talk show. Very funny. He was a preacher too at one time.

  • @Judyp77 umm...born gay=still gay=gay always...that's the way God made him, so rejoice in God's work!

  • @motorhead168 At this time nobody knows it was gay. It's a rock'n roll singer and a pionner. For me I was in this concert and I think you're a young person who don't know what you say. Now I've not the same image, Im old 65 years

  • For all the questions about the black guy at :47, I think (but I'm not sure) it could be Vigon, a french rock'n'roll singer well known in Paris at that time!

  • The mother of rck'n'roll !!!!

  • the only gay men who fucking rocks

  • @motorhead168 EXGAY not gay any more

  • @bobluman4 you can't be exgay lol..he was bisexual. And just because he went through some christian crap doesn't mean you can just switch it off.

  • @LBJTV well he is exgay read something about him ,he had a car crash and changed his ways now he is anti gay

  • @bobluman4 There is NO such thing as "ex-gay" LMAO!!!

  • That French audience have never seen such great rock and roll!

  • Believe Me When I Say Rock´n´Roll Is Here To Stay good golly anna mae hey miss lucy sarah lee rocking the joint baby come back and the voola little richard spoofed the rhythm the lyrics the beat listen to them and see what i mean they sound like little richard spoofed them they sound very similar not a whole lot but similar enough to sound a little a like.

  • to jest prawdziwy artysta a nie te bolki których wyciagaja Bóg wie skąd

  • this man is great the KING

  • it's so cool how richard can just turn a jacket into a huge deal and to make walking around stage the biggest part of the show. Chuck is the king, but Richard is the master.

  • French fags delight!

  • WOW.. Where were the women ... These men were in LOVE with Lil Richard ! Get it Richard !!! He was doin it back in the day.. AND OMG...I def see a resemblance of Him in Michael Jackson ... I think quiet as kept, he was a big inspiration to Michael..

  • @seangbennett

As far as visual style people knew LR was an influence and they were friendly. When Michael acquired the rights to Little Richard's songs he gave them to LR for free.

  • @1980Triumph He attempted to give them back, but Sony blocked the transaction. There's a video on here about it.

  • @wwwTHENOIREFFECTcom

    Where is the video

  • he was so good on piano that he made it seem ridiculous! fantastic! hendrix learned a hell of a lot from richard in showmanshiop and proud black flambouyance

  • I just think his song are the same all of them... this one, Long Tall Sally and Good Golly, Miss Molly are the same! Geez! But still awesome musician Litle Richard...

  • The French boys were really liking it....lol.....this american lady likes it TOO much wowowowowowowowowowow

  • @LynneGo

The French boys loved The Beatles, too.

One of their Paris concerts, the audience was all boys.

  • The true king of rock and roll! He invented this shit man! Lemmy(motorhead) even says so!

  • @falsepride

Little Richard says, "I wrote it - the white man stole it!"

  • I don't see a single woman in the whole crowd...just a bunch of guys...hmmmm... a homo convention? Screaming for his shirt? Wow.

  • @figleaf101 Yeah, I did see a coupla girls out there. . .

  • @figleaf101

Maybe you were just looking for men? I see girls there too !

  • Awesome!!!

  • Prince, Morrison, Tom Jones, Iggy Pop....get back.

(Why the long focus on the fan at 0:47?).

  • Because he's ethnic.

  • @MrsMamouna

Don't understand... But thanx 4 the reply.

(Little Richard is the true King of Rock and Roll).

    My, my, my.

  • @ensconse

It 's quite easy to understand, Phil !

  • @SimonW

    Who's "Phil"?

  • @SimonW

    Who's "Phil"?

"Because he's ethnic" meaning that it was unusual for a person of African/other non-Caucasian lineage to attend a rock concert in 1966 and the Tecghnical Director wanted o make a statement?

How does anyone *know* the 0:47 individual's ethnicity?

My point was in the editing process, which took too much attention off the artist.

  • @ensconse

Phil Sliverman/Esconse. Surely you remember your own name?

Taking the first part of your strange statement; yes as he seems to be one of the very few people of non 'ethinic' origin in the audience. You obviously haven't reaised this is Paris, France. I guess it's out of your limited view of the world.

    2. Stupid statement, Phil.

    3. Yes agreed as most people would, An obvious point that doesn't warrant saying in the first place unless its to draw attention to yourself , Mr Ensonce.

  • @SimonW

All ethnicity aside, why use an uninterrupted 0:47 camera shot of an audience member when Little Richard is on stage?

You're talking with "Ensconse" - don't know which "Phil" you are referring to. There's only one "Ensconse" on youtube.

I assume that most people use a surname for personal reasons. This should be respected.

  • @ensconse

Sorry, Phil as you use your real name other places on the net i mistakenly thought it was OK to use it here. Obviously then you dont know, but this is a single clip taken from a full TV show which captures the atmosphere and reaction in the audience and the auditorium as well as the onstage performance. It works well as social document of the time and is more proof of how much more revered Richard was In Europe at a time when he struggled in America.

  • Best damn performer the world has ever got to see! He was way ahead of his time. What a really cool video.

  • Man, I guess the sax man was tired after this gig lol. Little Richard teasing the whole damn world lol.
