  • can you translate america please?

  • :D THANK YOU SO MUCH

  • um so you say it onenara tadanimika or onenara sadanimika kind of confused

  • @brago911

I'm sure about the second part it is saram(person) imnika(are you?) So I it is Oninara saram imnika !

But you are right they pronounce it too fast

  • its good they repeat many times. But they speak so fast and they don't break down the parts and tell us meaning. its so challenging. some romanised words below would help. like Chinese has Hanyu Pinyin for dummies like us!!

  • so if "imnida" means is then what does "im ni kka" mean?

    Is this right?

Annyeong haseyo. Choneun Christine im ni da. Mannaseo pangapseumnida.

    Eoneu nara saram imnikka?

    Choneun migook saram imnida.

  • @SkylarkInTheSky I'm not korean but I'm pretty sure, 'imnida' is when you reply to a question or well like not a question. As for 'imnikka' is used for questions.

  • How do you say your American? I'm american so I need to know.

  • @jin098 미국인 - mi-gook-in (migook = USA) - American

  • how do you say Australia in Korean?

  • @ashleighhs 호주인 - ho-ju-in (hoju - Australia) - Australian

    or hoju-sram (saram = person/people) - Person from Australia

  • What are the pronounciations for "Where are you from?" and "I'm from ____ " ? It's hard to understand, and I'm not sure if I'm saying it right. Can you type it out in an Americanican pronounciation?

    Thank you very much!

  • @matzohball03 its literal romanization would be"eoneu nara saram ipnikka" but when pronounced it sounds more like "oh-nuh nara saram im-nee-kah." all As make an open "ah" sound like in father, and Is make an "ee" sound like in knee. hope that helped ^^

  • @monstercaroline Thank you very much! =)

  • hello ...can i ask about this please.. im confused with how to pronounced the "리" and if i romanized it, it is "RE" ?? am i correct?? or is it "LE"?? thank you... kamsahamnida..

  • 리 would be Ri

  • ohh oh oh thanks!! ^^

  • lol ya. 리 can be li or ri. cause there's no R in korean. And F/V can be used as P/B ;D

  • Reply: uhm yes there is an r in korean lol o.O my friend is korean :)

  • its Ri and

when an R is followed by a consonant or appears at the end of a word it is pronounced as L :D

  • its ri (ree) cuz a vowel follows after it. if a constanant followed after it it would be li(lee)

  • can you translate Philippines and Filipino to romanized korean

  • *(저는)싱가__르사람입니다

how do i input the 'ga'?

  • (저느)싱가__르사람입니다

how do i input the 'ga' ?

  • Strangely, they did not mention that the word for "America" (U.S.) is MIGUK and "English" (U.K.) is YONGGUK. I would have expect those words more so than, e.g., China/Japan, given that this video is for English-speakers.

  • can we leave out the imnika part .? just curious.

  • yes you can leave it out but remember it's there to show respect. so take it out only when talking to someone you are very familiar with and who is also around your age or younger.

  • it was quite easy until 2:40

  • You should look at other videos to go over the vowels and consonants first.

That's the flaw in Let's Speak Korean, it assumes you already know how to read and pronounce hangul. When you think about it thus far this series has taught only two vowels so how can one effectively read with only that much knowledge? You can't! So that mean you must first master (at least get a handle on) the vowels and consonants. Here's the good news. It's very easy to learn so you can learn it in a day or two.

  • kunmasupimnida/kamsahamida = thank you
