I for one enjoyed is the game..i found nothing wrong with it and yes i have played yoshi's island on snes but no major differences cept for new babies other wise..it was both good games

This game was a great game, just not as good as the first Yoshi's Island. If you ask me, you should only be able to play a Baby Mario or Baby Luigi and Yoshi's Fruits (From Super Mario Galaxy 2) should play a role in the next Yoshi game.

it is cool :) i love the idea of leeting the babys have there on speacial powers :D I got 100 points on each level (very hard tho XD) and i found all the baby coins. I had the snes version when i was younger.

NO! this game is too suckish to be a true sequal. nintendo can't just hire artoon, one of the worst video game companys, to make this game and then call it yoshi's island 2! which is why they changed the name!

Well to tell you the truth before it was called Yoshi's Island DS, its codename was called Yoshi's Island 2, much like Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door was called paper mario 2 amd like Mario 64 DS was called Mario 64x4. They just changed its name for the final release. Also some people also call it Super mario Wolrd 3 and the original Yoshi's Island in Japan was simply called Super Mario: Yoshi's Island. Anyways the Yoshi's Island series is awesome though no matter what people call it.
