Yeah not sure what this is. Could be originally a Schindler, by that indicator that doesn't light up by the door, maybe modernized by Otis, judging by that indicator on the side of the doorway with the two arrows and line in between.
Also, interesting to see a fire alarm signal that low. Usually they're about 3 times as high as that.

@beatlesfan73 It was modded by Palm Beach elevator according to the State of Florida's database.

What is the name or address of the building.
(strike my last post - I think it's a Mowery)

@kwag4 It's a Palm Beach elevator - I looked it up in Florida's elevator database. In case you're curious, it's located near 1631 Riverview road.

Thank you so much for the brand of this elevator.

That's right.

That looks like a Northern Elevator

Actually, these are Westinghouse elevators that were modernized by Otis Elevator.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
It's not Canton, but it might be an Otis elevator with independent brand equipment.

Canton Elevator.
NewAgeServer 3 years ago
No, Canton Elevator makes only hydraulics. This is a traction, and possibly a Montgomery elevator.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Well it might not be ALL Canton... some parts might be another company's.
NewAgeServer 3 years ago
You are right, but it was Modernized by Westinghouse in 1987.
mintz515 2 years ago
Looks like an Otis or a Montgomery modernized by Otis.

What is that thing to the right of the elevator in the center?
lumix14 3 years ago
That is a fire alarm mounted REALLY LOW for some reason.
NewAgeServer 3 years ago
Wait...look at the old in-car traveling lantern. I THINK it used to be an US Elevator.
KWolfM 3 years ago
I think that's an Otis elevator, and is a traction elevator.
CaptainElevator42189 3 years ago
Could be a Montgomery.
MajorAnimalFreak 3 years ago
Possibly.

what is that covering on the walls inside. some kind of "elevator jacket'?
jack9547 3 years ago
Yes, someone is probably moving in and/or out.
musicfreakcc 3 years ago
oh, so they put that stuff on the walls to prevent objects from damaging the elevator?
jack9547 3 years ago
Correct.
musicfreakcc 3 years ago
Wow, and that padding stays there forever? If it does, it looks really ugly.
ElevatorMan2012 3 years ago
No, it's removable. That's why most elevators have those hooks near the ceiling.
