  • All political ads should be ban from television. Only debates should be broadcast in their own states.

  • How can anyone defend this piece of trash? Oh well he's gone Nov 2nd.

  • Grayson's ad was a low blow (and in poor taste), but it was purposefully done. We all know Grayson uses Republican tactics right back at them. And this taking one ad from a Democrat and acting like this is a widespread issue is itself misleading, as others have pointed out. Yet another example of the media misunderstanding what it means to be impartial and to present the facts.

  • context matters

  • Shame on you Anderson Cooper! What a double standard on CNN's part. The smears and media manipulation of the Right are completely ignored while Grayson's ad is singled-out? Are you kidding me? Republicans thugs and their Tea Party commissars NEVER worry about their "offensive" remarks; they get off on it! Yet when a Democratic Congressmen takes off the gloves and sheds light on a VERY REAL political reality in this country you suddenly proclaim it's unfair? This is a disgrace of a news report.

  • @mikepalomino I agree. Rightwingers have done worse than that on a regular basis. There was nothing misleading about Grayson's ad. It was obvious that his message was that his opponent was a Christian who wanted to implement his religious values as policies if elected. Grayson did it in a dramatic way, but that is how messages are communicated in politics. If Democrats pull their punches, they will lose. For damn sure, Republicans won't pull their punches.

You're a moron. Grayson's ad was the most misleading ad in a long time. He plays the clip of him saying "submit to your wife," and only that portion. That kind of editing "trickery" misleads the viewer and makes them think that Webster was making that as his statement, when in fact, his whole point was about NOT focusing on that passage in the Bible.

  • @realnarutoboy It's called creative license. The clip *is* true to the political reality of Webster's views, which are shaped by his religious beliefs. You fixate on the clip to the exclusion of all else, totally overlooking that Webster supports anti-choice laws against women.

Grayson is absolutely right and should be applauded for exposing the Christian Conservative right who want to enact religiously-supported legislation as the American Taliban.

  • @mikepalomino Exactly. The political ad was using a clip to correctly portray the message of Webster's views. It's a fact that Webster wants to implement his religious beliefs as public policies if elected. Someone may agree with Webster's religious beliefs and disagree with Grayson that religion shouldn't be politicized, but even so the overall message of Grayson's political ad was true. In voting for Webster, one would be voting for politicized rightwing Christianity being imposed on society.

  • @mikepalomino

No, it's called taking someone out of context -- and Grayson were speaking, we'd call lying. With intellectually dishonest and morally bankrupt people like yourself, I'm not surprised that a clown like Grayson would get elected.

  • @realnarutoboy Spare me your righteous indignation. Grayson's use of the clip is amateur compared to the underhanded manipulation we see from the right.

Arguments such as yours are red herrings to distract attention away from the issue at hand: Webster's faith-based politics that threaten womens' liberties. The clip is a very small part of a larger argument that you're conveniently ignoring.

  • @MarmaladeINFP Well said.

  • Fox News has been doing this type of media manipulation since it's inception.. nothing new.
