If you want someone to admit to a crime he never committed this is the best tool to wrap around his dick. I'm sure he'll admit to all crimes in the world from the crucifixion of Christ to the murder of JFK including future ones. Nice discovery bud!
@mina5355 Well for one, try using proper grammar in google. If you can't accomplish that, then I suggest you don't tamper with science if you can't even get literacy down.
@fjoa123 copper melts at 1080 celsius, aluminum melts at 660 celsius, zinc at 419. The temperature is directly related to how much power he's putting through the coils. You could melt your coil if you cranked it up too high without a cooling for your coils. And good luck cooling off something at 1080 celsius that isn't going to screw up the rest of what you're working on.
You are saying aluminum but the title says zinc. This can't just be zinc, zinc doesn't need to get red hot like that to melt, aluminum yes, so which is it? An alloy? Still cool video. I was thinking of making a video on how to make really pretty zinc nuggets with pennies, it is a way I found to have zinc keep that shiny look it has when it is melted instead of cooling to that ugly grayish color.
@Mrshipoopis why waste the comment space here. Do it outside, Wear safety glasses and wear gloves BTW you shouldn't breathe any fumes and everything gives you cancer...Duh..
@d44177 yer i've seen that plus an apple etc, i dk how it's possible with apple because it doesn't really have any metals in it whatsoever, and wasn't that like bad for the frog? lol could kill him.
@rich1051414 aww kay yer that makes sense i thought it just made every molecule of any object vibrate really fast and heatup like a microwave (but using not microwaves obv lol) but if this is just for magnetic metals ok.
@david1991rules4life what happens is the poles of the magnetic field flip SO FAST that the object pushes and pulls against itself really fast, so it does SORT OF vibrate. The friction of it pushing and pulling against itself causes the melting of it.
@imanulsofian 3 kW isn't thaaaat much in the grand scheme of things. It's common for microwave ovens to consume 1 kW or more on the highest setting. An electrical stove will typically consume 2-3 kW per plate. You may want to check that the fuse you're connecting the thing through can handle the current, but otherwise it's not a big deal.
@quimufpr (1) Theoretically, yes. But the problem is this: The heater is basically a transformer. You're transforming a "high" (high relative to secondary, that is.) voltage with a "low" current through the primary side, the pipe in this case, to a low voltage with a high current in the secondary side. The primary only has a couple of turns and the secondary has no turns, it's just a metal object.
@quimufpr So the problem with heating a body part is getting a low enough resistance to induce enough current to do any significant heating. Compare it to what would happen if you connected a good 10V power source through a piece of metal vs through your hand, even if the electrodes were connected inside the skin. Less current in the latter case, because of the resistance. That said, inductive heating of body parts still wouldn't be very healthy, I think.
@kontekijke Zinc itself isn't toxic (it is an essential nutrient) but inhaling the fumes (zinc oxide) will make you really sick (look up "metal fume fever"), usually not fatal though.
Looked at your site and tutorial. Looks like a pretty solid design. Problems might be getting gate drive transformer and other ferrite core. Variacs are expensive and sometimes hard to find so maybe you can find a way to control the gate drive (PWM) maybe and IRF450 fets for higher voltage. They are rated at 30A I think. I forget polarity but a diode across the G-S will help the fet turn off faster. Don't know if it would help this situation. I'm not an engineer. :-D
@uarequeer All the details on how to make it and where to get the parts is described at the top in the description. You can view it at mindchallenger x com slash inductionheater
@tigresssharplesl well something like this happend to me and a friend only that it was a charcoal from a waterpipe when we were smoking in bed it did a hole and we couldnt touch it until it passed trough the whole bed and fell on the ground
@t3hPoundcake Sure. Anything that can control the input voltage will work. Just make sure you do not exceed the current rating. If it is fused, make sure you stay below that current.
@drumslayer27 heat capacity of water being what it is, not likely. The sheer power required would amount to a small explosion, and all of that would have to be converted to heat in water really efficiently (ie, water would boil near the bottom, and be cold near the top).
great stuff, thankyou for your time and effort in sharing this knowledge.
