@alex1murdoch All four cameras were still attached to the payload.  We used a radio beeper (220Mhz), GPS SPOT, and APRS radio GPS to find the payload a 100 miles away.

What kind of camera did you use!!!

@shutternation We used four (4) GoPro HERO cameras. Three were set at 1080HD video (R5), and one was set to take pictures every two seconds. I added the extra battery pacs to them and 32G SD cards. I got 3.5 hours of video with that set up. We sprayed the outside with RainX and used anti-fog inserts inside the case. They worked to -91F!

@SagerIncorporated Thanx for the info, i have a gopro myself and there one of the best cameras i have seen or used. Whats the RainX do? I say someone do something similar to this probably not so extreme with a iphone so they could find it. THey used heating pads to warm it. but you took it to a whole new level!

@shutternation We used RainX to help the water droplets get off the lens. I used GoPro anti-fog inserts inside the housing. I love the iPhone videos. The GoPro is so sturdy that it does not need extra insulation. It worked between -40F to -91F for about 1.75 hrs.
