I fell for her the first time I saw them. Ed Sullivan, I'm sure. Such a funny rubbery faced lady and then she sings. Oh, my. The overbite was part of her charm. Without it, the comedy doesn't happen. Never bothered me at all. She was beautiful, overbite and all.
She sings like an angel and has a lovely figure. I used to see her on TV a lot, especially in a summer replacement show- maybe for Dean Martin, was it?- but wouldn't she have gone further if she had fixed her trademark overbite?
Mimi is the most underated star there ever was!! I am Phil & Mimi's niece, Mimi, my mom, Treasure toted me around New York & New Jersey during their hayday. I was and am enchanted by her voice I miss my zany family terribly as Phil & Treasure are in heaven. Thanks for putting this clip on...It's wonderful that career will live on forever!!!
Wow, I was watching that night too! Right now I was listening to the Music Man and when the song came on "Till There was You" I immediately thought of her and googled them. I didn't know they'd divorced in 1972 although they appeared professionally a number of times after that. She is so incredibly good.
We were lucky enough to see them live in a tent theater near Chicago doing "Pajama Game". Can you imagine what they did with that show. There was so much hilarious ad-libbing going on, especially on Mimi's part, that there was hardly a need for a script. Thanks for responding. We were also big Jack Paar fans, and I recently bought a two hour DVD that was excellent. Unfortunately, a clip of "Til There Was You" was not included.

Why didn't Mimi become the superstar she deserved to be?

I was watching the night Mimi sang "Til There Was You" on the Paar show. It was magical. Are there any clips available anywhere?
