@davebautista1 eating trees is free and repairs take you resources, you will need those resources later and you can really spare 10 seconds to eat a tree and reroot, basic strategy for any RTS, dont waste a single resource

The music is a distraction definitely. Using an ancient to attack creeps is brilliant! However y not just root the tree and repair it? A lot of time was wasted eating trees instead of producing units.

One thing to improve this, so the creeps can be almost dead when your hero comes out is to pull a wisp from wood just before the archer attacks, and put the archer between the ancient and the wisp and the wizard will cast lightning shield on the archer, send the wisp to wood and the archer with lightning to stand next to the wizard, hero comes out to get last hit on them and ur off quicker

okay here is my question. so you didn't get huntresses...and as you know how weak the archers are what happen if bm found out that u just build your ancient right next to neutral and start stealing and slashing down your archers. and can burn bm with illidan but not damaging enough since bm is getting aded by the neutrals and ww bs on archers and slowpoke ancient of war. i think ne vs orc is very difficult for the ne to neutral with one ancient of war

I was hoping I could as a simple question.. I'm still pretty new to WC3 and use this strategy most of the time. But every time I do this I lack man power and my opponent just rushes me with a few swordsmen / grunt / ghouls. They'll just cut through my archers and keep sending more over time. Because of this I mostly never get passed 7-10 minutes. I can't find any pro game on youtube to counter rushes with Night Elf because the opposite player just creeps. (except for Blade Master though) Thanks!

@Nivek1098 Well one viable option is that you carefully place your moonwells to limit their mobility in your base. Place them in such a way that if they do rush they are forced to be attacked by the buildings. Also keep in mind archers have range, grunts, ghouls and swordsmen do not, so making your base a choke-point with wells lets you hit multiple enemies while they can only hit 1-2 archers. Lastly, micro enough (or set wells to automatic) to receive well healing. After then expand and macro.

@Nivek1098 hey niv, glade you asked that question, i have the same problems when facing humans, i get rushed alot when i play a small map, but i find that if you can level you dh to level 2 you can handle the rush better not saying that you'll push them back all the time, but if you have a few unites and use the AoW as a unite you might just live. i still struggle with this strat but cant find a reasonable solution or answer to this problem. hope it helps, if you have a better one tell me.

You should use Hotkeys.

Before first creep, the AoW should eats a Tree to heal while taking dmg.

To eat a Tree, just need Right click on it.

Sometimes I build 2 AoW; another1 near the shop or Exp.

Kobold after shop are useless.

In my opinion, bad macro and teched to t2 too late.

Ermmm i think the normal build is 3 wisps in gold mine 1 altar 1 going to make AOW and the first wisp from tree goes moon [just as you did] this strat insures a much faster creep farm which also gives you the chance to harass with dh ...

hmm, couldn't you just build 3-6+ archers and use Demon Hunter to tank with evision in the beginning, then retreat when he has low HP and heal him with the Wells?

- you don't encounter your enemy with a lv 1 hero on those maps so you can use evision to your advantage since Mana burn is useless against creeping.

the the tree tanking isn't so bad cause you can heal it by eating trees, but it stops the archer production --> making you an easy target for rushes.

Although Night Elf's are really good Humans tend to be better. The thing i love about Night Elfs is that you can make additional attack units without using food like (Ancient Protector/Ancient of War) and that you can move your entire base without destroying the units you still have. Although Humans have more powerful units and more reliable units (Great Hero's, Way to OP Mages that can cast polymorph have an army of them your dead and good buildings)
