@skizm22 It use to be pretty easy to peg a "Berklee" sound -- and jazz/funk is a popular way for trained musicians in general to exercise their musical chops, just as hardcore is used likewise by young suburban musicians. In recent years, though, most of the Berklee bands I've seen have shown some good diversity, from ambient to country to pure pop.
