I'm glad you didn't switch ships. It allows you to experience it from the point of view of a single crew, rather than going back and forth and not really being able to immerse yourself. I'm assuming that that is the Enterprise-E you are controlling.

I am on a 2.4 intel dual core, 4gb ram, 2 x 8800gt and playing online in a game like this is mental. even my pc lags. i can get up to 50 ships on a screen and it lags. this dude must be on 2 x GTX cards, quad and 4b ram minimum to get this... fucking mental... I LOVE IT>>>

I happen to agree. Although the Galaxy class looked too much like a 5 star passenger liner, the Sovereign class was really strange and ugly. I much prefer the Galaxy class, or better still, the soaped up one Riker had in the future.

in a huge battle like this i imagine a couple scouts would be useful. Other ships would mostly ignore them because of their size and they would be able to target larger vessels and disable weapons or shields without worry of retaliation.

Well all I have is vista 32 ultimate, you have more memory and plus x64 can handle things like that. So that's the problem I guess, but I only have lag if there are too many ships and also I have everything on very high at 1600x1200 with shadows on.

I didn't know there was a demo version. If you're talking about the game as a whole, any existing demo should work if it's been published by the company.  If you mean the map, unfortunately it's not compatible with the original version of Legacy. You'll have to download either the Ultimate Universe or Aftermath mods (both of which can be found at Filefront) for it to work.

I have a Core 2 Quad Q9550 at stock speeds (my mobo is stupid and crashes if I try to OC), Vista Ultimate x64, 2 ATI Radeon HD4870's, 8GB of DDR3 1333 RAM, and an 800-watt PSU. You shouldn't have that much trouble with this game, it doesn't use too many resources.

Yeah, my 3DMark06 score is OVER FOURTEEN THOUSAAAAAAND!!!!!! If I ever do put the map somewhere for download, I'll be sure to post a warning about only using it if you have a really good computer.
