@Superiorpakfan GE's hybrid locomotives use generators and batteries with regular electric motor powered trucks to operate under variable levels of energy need. This sounds like it uses a hydraulic accumulator type system which stores pressurized hydraulic fluid for use later. Same concept (regenerative braking) but a bit different application.

I wonder if they took this idea off the GE Hybrid locomotive project. the train axle does exactly the same! Nice truck tho :)
