  • Dear Ford, have you ever considered trying this in the USA? I would buy this in a heartbeat.

  • @indyschmidt

of course they would but our govt has turned the market against them. diesel cost more than gasoline courtesy of the 24.4 cent federal gas tax versus the 18.4 gasoline tax. then there is the chicken tax: 25% import tax fee on ALL light pick-up trucks coming into the country. now you know why several automakers came over here to build...well, had at least one reason to. lastly there is CAFE which mandates 35 mpg. taxes often have the effect of altering the consumer market.

  • @indyschmidt

diesel is cheaper than gasoline in europe and the gas mileage is better.

  • @raufus3006 this is in brazil man and it not cheaper there than it is here. i lived there for two years.

  • ô pneuzada boa, show

Adoro a Ranger.

  • This is exactly why I hate the EPA. Drop our dumb standards and let us buy vehicles like these!

  • @FordGuy100

it's not the EPA, it's the 24.4 cent tax on diesel. it's CAFE and it's 35 mpg fuel requirement, it's the "chicken tax" and it's 25% tax on all light pick up truck imports. the market is distorted. why would anyone buy a truck when the fuel is more expensive? it detracts from the better gas mileage. sucks to be us.

  • can it pull anything?

  • fuck the faggy music off i want to hear the tone of the exhaust

  • What lift kit and gear is on that Diesel ranger?

  • Ive tryed these trucks in Ireland for 3 months they are awsome and they are actually built more for off road than our north american trucks.

  • i dont understand why they don't offer the diesel in northern america because my understanding is that diesel burns cleaner and is easier to make so better emssions and thats what the whole word is about now

  • @sleepybone321 It's a conspiracy. Diesel was 60 cents less per gallon than unleaded for 7 decades, now it is 60 cents MORE than super unleaded. The enviro whackos infiltrated every part of government and HATE freedom! They saw that loggers, hunters, ranchers and others liked diesel pick up trucks. In the process they hammered the economy because everything is delivered in diesel trucks. In 1981 thru 1987 Isuzu (and Chevy) had 2.2 L diesel trucks from Japan I have one. obumo WANTS $9.oo diesel!

  • @3Mudbone1 switch to biodiesel

  • @serialcomplexity Who has time for that? I work 70 hours per week. Biodiesel at the pump is more than regular diesel.

  • Definitely an incredible truck. I had a 01 Edge with the same lift as that, but nowhere near as capable. I would LOVE to see a deisel ranger come to North America

  • Not that great, about 26.0 mpg-US combined

  • @MOEBIUSUIBEOM thats pretty good as far as trucks go

  • real nice truck man wish they had these in the states 4 door 4x4 ranger with a diesel hell yea i would buy one

  • i love this truck

  • im impressed... keep it up!

  • wtf? thats a ranger!!

  • whoa they make a diesel ranger?!?!? i'd be happy with just gettin my 95 ranger off the ground a little bit lol. this thing looks like a fuckin beast with a jeep front end lol

  • OMG i want one they don't let us but those in the states that good for like my farm

  • Que musica mas mierda!

  • Is that south GA or south carolina?

  • this is not real 4wding its just driving through mud try some different terrain other that manufactured.

  • @bazzamataz72 Last I checked it NEVER said it was "4wding" prick. Anyways, it looked like off road to me. Stop going around bitching about stupid stuff. Just watch the video YOU click on and if you don't like it then STFU and go to some other video.

  • a crew cab 3.0 desiel ranger, perfect little truck for me

  • @GalinhaFumante jajajaj tu ta locoo a melhor pick-up e a toyota

  • This music is awful.

  • Hecho en Argentina

  • That thing is a beast man, ford all the way, chevy sucks balls and dodge sucks ass.

  • thats beasty

  • This is one of the nicest looking Rangers I've seen in a while...nice vid! It seemed very capable in the mud and off road in general. I'm loving it!

  • That is an awsome truck, i would kill to have one of them

  • i was really interested in hearing what a v6 3.0 diesel would sound like but all i got was some gay creed.ugh.i agree they would make a killing in the states off these trucks.nice ride though.

  • @trentbrew24 , even without some "gay Creed", you wouldn´t listen a V6 3.0 L, because the 3.0 L diesel is a I-4 ...

  • @WichashaWanbli

who cares it's a diesel fuck gas

  • @WichashaWanbli Creed rocks you faggot..

  • I agree that I would rather here the truck then the music . But dont be a basher. Grow up.

  • @trentbrew24 dont talk shit about creed

  • @Yum917 actually buddy creed licks some hairy balls,ur a fag for listening to that shit

  • @trentbrew24 hahahahaahaha...truee man. nice

  • why is this not available in the U.S., i would have bought this... oh well my 02 edge suits me jus fine

  • very cool video....i have a 97 ford ranger tht i want to do somthing like to it

  • it fucking pisses me off that we can't get diesel rangers up here.

A vedaçao eh boa?

So me preocupo com a questao do rolamento que tanto falam.

  • new ranger is coming out in 2012 hopefully like this!

  • ford will never sell these here FORD WAKE UP

I THINK THE RANGER WOULD BE COOL AGAIN

HELL THE 80"S ARE IN AGAIN HOW BOUT THE RANGER SEND IT OUT WITH A BANG

  • ranger e show!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Built FORD TOUGH!

  • Im selling 1 here in Guatemala any one intrested? $15,000 3.0 Diesel 2005 i bough it for $30,000 it has 90,000 Kms (56,250Miles)

  • WE NEED THAT TRUCK HERE!!!! I WOULD GET 1, HELL I WOULD 2!!! 1 for me and 1 for the wife!!!

  • I would buy one

  • I dream of a day when I don't need to look on the internet to see awesome diesel suvs and light duty pickups and can instead look at my driveway. The first company to bring their diesel in an suv or small pickup to the U.S. I will jump on it fuck brand loyalty. Land Rover Defender or the Lr4 toyota hilux. I've never been a ranger fan but crewcab oooo I like

  • i wonder if they beefed up the suspension and the gears to tow more since its a diesel

  • I was just thinking ford should really offer the 4door Ranger to the U.S. market....I agree they could make a killing with it, especially since sales are down for the Ranger...it would compete with everything much more competitively...

  • @volvogod240 We have a 4 Door 2010 Ranger Shortbed and i live in kansas?

  • I would love to know if there is anyway to import one of these into America. I would love to have a Diesel Ranger!

  • I hate to say this about my own country but america has gone pussified (perfect example look at our president now) its all about "going green" after al gores lie about global warming, but of course 80% of people are stupid and believe anything they see on TV. all the new emissions regulations are bull shit and its hard to get my 87 f-150 passed now

  • @kdawg7070 You sir are an idiot. We are in a Global warming period. Learn the breakdown of all the atoms that come out of your exhaust pipe before you open it. the main problem is our over farming of cattle. one cow puts out as much as 3 cars. and i agree we are all pussies nowadays it's not because we care about our planet though.

  • @PirateXJ there is no global warming, its all a market scam so companies can sell the expensive eco friendly shit. i love my trucks dirty old exhaust and i love even more when toyota drivers choke on it

  • sell that f***er in the US!!

  • americans dont deserve

  • @itsnikky i like your simple minded comment, dumbass

  • Ford would make a killing if they sold those here in america, but I guess they are too stupid to do it and the whole emissions thing is probly stopping them. I would definitely buy one if they had them here.

  • This engine is classified as Euro IV. There isn´t any diesel smoke... I think the emissions are not the problem with U.S Ford...

  • well all i know is that i want one and sadly the US won't get them

  • @WichashaWanbli the real issue is because there has been "NO" emission testing done on these trucks for selling in the us so they can sit back and say that and expect no one would push the issue. the new tier of emission standards wants to reduce N0X and carbon if bio fuels are burnt in the same engine as for much of Europe these emission issues are mitigated

  • What is the fuel mileage on this

  • Its about 9 km/L in urban use, and 11 km/l on roads.

  • Its about 9 km/L in urban use, and 11 km/l in roads.

  • @Coloradofan1910

I think the problem is that US aren´t willing to pay the import costs and bring a Ranger from Argentina and sold there. It´d be more expensive and it´d need some improvements to make its way to US market. I´m sure the engine isn´t the problem (Diesel Rangers have great and clean engines), it´d need some extra features. Latin American market is less demanding on security and comfort features than US market.

  • @Coloradofan1910 they are going too. from what i hear anyway. and as far as euro goes.. the late 80's i think had a motor designed by europe. the one in my 86 is like that.

  • @halflife103 It would make a killing in America as long as ford doesn't over price them and the crew cab sure would be nice.

  • @Coloradofan1910 yeah, i woudl buy one

  • @Coloradofan1910

Indeed, European emissions are MUCH stricter than the US.

Ford knows if they want to continue selling Rangers, they're going to kill the F-150s sales, and why would they want that when the F-150 is the #1 selling truck in America?

  • @GreenRanger9096 Not sure why, but they would still sell a lot more rangers rather than how many colorados chevy sells which is not many at all. I guess thats why chevy is discontinuing it.

  • @Coloradofan1910 Same concept, Mini-trucks are slowly fading out, no one wants a truck that hauls less than an f150 and uses the same ammount of gas , if ford was smart they'd bring the diesal ranger over and tune it to push 35+ MPG and sell them like hotcakes.

  • @GreenRanger9096 With the diesel engine the ranger must have a decent amount of torque and a satisfying enough towing capacity. To be honest, the majority of people that buy big trucks never tow even close to half of the max capacity. A ranger with a diesel engine would be awesome and no more than what I need.

  • @Coloradofan1910

It's all about demographics, go to Ford Dealerships and ask them why they aren't selling Diesel Rangers here, they'll tell you the same thing I said before.

  • @Coloradofan1910 GM is putting their focus into the small truck market... there IS a reason why it is getting discontinued, something NEW is on the way.

  • @kemorc I hope it is something that is worth making. I still don't see why they didn't just stick the same V6 that is in the traverse into the colorado as a mid level engine instead of the inline 5s. It would give the truck more horses as well as a little more torque. I test drove a 2010 3.7 i5 crew cab z-71 and it felt like I had to put my foot to the floor to even move the truck. I hope they do a little more planning on their next entry in small-mid sized trucks

  • I honestly don't know how the 3.7 i5 lives up to its 5,500 lbs towing capacity due to the way it performed just driving the truck itself

  • @Coloradofan1910 If GM goes with the 3.6 in their new truck, the other manufacturers are screwed. There is plenty of power and towing to be had with that engine, and with fuel economy to back it up.

  • @kemorc Both ford and chevy could wipe the rest of the market out if they just changed a couple of things on their trucks to get a leg up on the competition. Ford needs to do a little restyling for the ranger and offer a crew cab (maybe diesel to?). Chevy needs to get rid of its POS inline 5 engines, make the interior a little nicer, and maybe resize the truck so that 3 adults can actually fit in the back of the crew cab. Sounds like an overhaul, but it would most likely work.

  • @Coloradofan1910 According to pickuptrucksdotcom, GM is putting a lot of focus back into the small truck market. If they use the same engine in the camaro/crossovers, do a few electronic modifications if need be, they have a kick ass new engine for the market. Ford totally has that capability with the 3.7, but it seems like they could care less about the Ranger. Supposedly it might go into the F150, but there is STILL quite a few people that prefer the compact/small trucks. Some don't need full.

  • @kemorc That engine would be awesome if it goes in the colorado. As for ford they are missing out on the compact market, but as you said they don't really care. Why focus on something else when your full size market has the highest sales out of all the other companies. I for one hate driving a full size truck. I used to drive a 2500 silverado that my father had but it was way too big for what I do. I like fuel efficiency with capability not watching my money disappear at the pump.

  • @Coloradofan1910 GM is also debating on pulling the benched 4.5 duramax off the shelf and actually using it. It is all ready to go if they decide to. The question is, what do you stash it in? It puts out the same numbers as the original Duramax back in 01, but it is also cheaper and has a better fuel economy. If they put it in a half ton... i'd be all over it. They are supposedly debating using it in the 2500HD, and keeping the bigger duramax as a secondary diesel option.

  • @kemorc I would definitely settle for a half ton silvy if they put a small duramax in them. Although I will not drive a heavy duty again simply because of the size. Half tons are a little nicer because of the wider variety of features, but I would still prefer something awesome in the compact market. I sure wish that car companies would listen to their consumers.

  • what if u buy one down there and have it shipped up here@Coloradofan1910

  • @Coloradofan1910 Why wouldn't ford sell those ranger with diesel engines in the usa? is diesel too much more expensive than gas, or what? because if you are thinking that the problem are the emissions won't be, definitly, once diesel engine emis are less harmful than gasoline, you can look for. Thanks!

  • @Coloradofan1910 I agree. They would beat the chevy colorado and shit. This is suck an amazing truck. Ford would be even more rich if they sold it here. idk why they wouldnt they are american made any way

  • @Coloradofan1910 hell diesels were always and will forever be cleaner AND more powerful than gas engines, and we can do simple injector modifications and not have to worry about gas ever again and run them on corn oil, i want a 6bt for my 99' f150 but i dont have 6k for a new one. i like buying new, yes i know i can get a used one and it will still go easily another 600k miles i just like new.

  • @Coloradofan1910 They dont sell them because they say there isnt a large enough market. Not enough my ass. Cause a 3.0l v6 turbo diesel would get WAY better fuel economy then a 3.0l v6 gas engine. Fuck them, they need a Mini Powerstroke 3.5l or so!

  • @Coloradofan1910 they cant because that thing gets 40 MPG, how is the goverment gonna make any money off fuel if your truck gets that kinda mileage cheap basterds eh?

  • @Coloradofan1910 I think that looks a little to muck like a Nissan Frontier. but cool none the less.

  • Comment removed

  • You wait may be over a FORD is testing the new Ranger here in Michigan! Based on the Australian Ranger (Mazda).... Hopefully it will have the option of the Diesel!

  • FUCK YOU N.A Ford i hope your company dies, i always owned Ford and LOVED EM. But cause of ur stupidity, i have to now buy a Japanese Tacoma instead of this Awesome Ranger only because its not available here.

    BRING THIS TO CANADA !!!

  • I WANT THAT TRUCK!

i don't see why ford doesn't sell a diesel crew cab ranger here.

All the other small trucks have a crew cad why not the ranger

  • That's a good damn question. I'd trade in my F-150 in a heartbeat for a smaller truck like this one. Especially a diesel.

  • bring to canada

  • Qual roda voce esta usando?? aro 15 ne ??

  • Isso! Aro 15X8, pneus 33' MT/R Goodyear.

  • In Canada, if we want diesel engine on Ford pickup trucks, we have to buy a F250 or F350 Powerstroke.. No light diesel truck like this... I want one!

  • Is this engine based on gasoline powered Ford 3.0L engine?

  • No way. This is new engine made by MWM-International Engines, in Brazil. The Ranger is assembly in Argentina, but the engine is brazilian made.

  • I think you will start to see more and more diesels here in the USA! I know Mahindra is supposed to be adding compact diesel pick up that will achieve a est. 30 mpg on the highway.

  • i swear i will get a 4 door ranger here in to the united states, ill just take the cab truck bed and other suchs

  • a full 4 door ranger? WTF?

  • Nice video man awesome truck!! thanks for the comment on fords rule!

  • man i wish they made these in the USA

  • great truck! i wish they made the crew cab and diesel rangers here :(

  • Congratulations.... KKKK

  • lol the S-10 is an embarrassment to the automotive industry. it might just be as bad as the Chrysler Sebring.

    Ford all the way.

  • @supersnot4 Yeah... the ranger was such a good truck that they have decided to stop producing it in 2011. Shoot, the Ranger hasn't been changed except in face lifts and a more potent engine or two for how many years? Well over a decade. The S10 was pretty dominant over the ranger... heck the ranger finally became a contender with the SOHC 4.0.

  • @kemorc yeah they never changed it for a reason. It's a good solid TRUCK, and look at its sales now. the S-10 was so good that they don't even make it anymore, right?

at least they still make the ranger. and no, it doesn't have to be powerful to be a better pickup truck. all that matters is that it's reliable and durable enough to be a truck. the only reason Ford is slowing production of the Ranger is because the F-150 is an insanely good seller for them, and will replace the ranger.

  • @supersnot4 Um, in order for it to tow and haul, it had to have a new engine designed for it. The ranger always has, and will be the truck that is way behind the times. Who is still going to be producing a small truck? By the looks of it, it won't be ford. The ONLY reason ford is "slowing" production is because no one wants the ranger, it is out-dated, and there are way better compact trucks on the market. Besides the cosmetic changes, the '10 ranger is damn near the same truck released in 01

  • @kemorc The ranger is still making good money for Ford through fleet sales. Ford has the chance to upgrade the ranger, but like I said, the eco-boost F-150 would just be a better candidate for it. Yes, I know the ranger is behind the times, but regardless of when they changed it, it's still a great durable truck, and I'd buy a new one no problem, if I just didn't need something a little bigger, which I do.

  • @supersnot4 So I guess that goes for the Syclone and Typhoon as well, huh? Go suck it.

  • @originaldriver why would you EVER want a Syclone or Typhoon as a truck? they would never last as long as a ranger, especially under work conditions the Ranger was built for. the Ranger is a TRUCK. Those are just toys. and cheap ones at that.

  • @supersnot4 Hey... keep it relevent. You said that S-10 was some kind of embarrasment, yet I cant think of a single Ranger in existence that would bring the sort of resale that a Ty/Sy would.

Not bashing the ranger or anything, Im just saying.

  • @originaldriver of course a Ty/Sy would bring great resale. they only made like 5,000 of them combined. They're still not a good truck.

  • @supersnot4 Oh... Its not just the limited number. Its the fact that it holds the quickest 0-60mph time of any production truck made in american history. (Although there are some faster production trucks in terms of top-end speed and 1/4 mile times ) Lightning, SRT-10, etc

Also, On what grounds do you shake your "hate-stick" at the S-10? Im curious to know.

  • @originaldriver well of course it has the quickest 0-60 time. it's a small truck, so it accelerates faster.

    ground #1, It's a Chevy.

#2, S-10s don't hold up to the abuse that a truck should (I should know).

#3, just about every S-10 I see is lowered ridiculously, making for a useless truck.

#4, S-10 is designed more for the street, and sits and drives like a car.

#4, transmission is ridiculous, and most will chirp into 2nd gear.

    # -1 I do like the 4.3, it's a torquey big V-6, but still GM.

  • @supersnot4

So, from from what Im gathering from reasons 1-4, a fast shifting transmission and a torquey engine with good "car-like" drivablity is a..... "Bad thing"?

    .

So If I want a good truck, then I should buy a torqueless, crappy driving, mushy-shifting truck ... like a Ranger???

    .

(I hope that I didnt get that wrong...)

  • @originaldriver I'm assuming you've never driven a Ford Ranger. It has plenty of torque to get the job done, which is exactly what a truck is for. A real truck isn't for showing off, the S-10 is, and therefor is not a real truck.

like I said in #2, it's not going to hold up to the abuse that a Ranger will.

and when you start worrying more about car-like driving, you start making sacrifices to the truck's structural integrity.

  • @supersnot4 I was really just poking fun at your rediculous reasons, but seriously.

I would beg to differ about the "abuse" tollerance of the ranger over the S-10. The Motorweek Comparison that I read actually awarded the S-10 with better overall build-quality and value. (Not to mention that anyone with a brain in thier head knows that the Ford 4.0l, and 3.0l v6 arent competition for the 4.3l chevy v6)

So Ill ask again, how is the S-10 "crap"? (Please come up with "real" reasons this time)

  • @originaldriver ahh, so you read an article about it did you? have you every actually owned or driven either one? probably not. I'm using facts straight from experience. about the only thing the S-10 has on the Ranger is the 4.3, and that's just because it has more power, which has nothing to do with durability. trust me, right no I own a '96 Jimmy. it's got power but everything is falling apart at only 96,000 miles.

'98 ranger 4-banger with around 400,000 and only needed a head gasket.

  • @supersnot4 I have never owned a ranger, but other than the standard problems had with Ford electronics in some models, Ive never really heard anything bad about them. Hence Ill say again, I dont have any thing against the truck.

    .

On the same note, I HAVE owned an 01" S-10 extended cab with auto. I was impresed with the pickup and had to do nothing more than change a starter and TPS . The only real advantage that Ill give the ranger is its better 8.5in rear-end.

    .

    Thats it.

  • @originaldriver well like i said, i've owned both. yes they're both nice, but the S-10 just isn't as much of a truck as the ranger.

  • @blaserooo thats funny u must have different s-10's where u r from because where i come from they r complete junk...heck i have a 78 ranger with 452,000 miles and it still looks cherry

  • they need to bring these models to the US

  • i want it

  • where did you get your four door ranger from

  • 4 door rangers are only available overseas. Most likely this is a Mexican or South American truck.

  • it's a Brazilian Ranger

  • figured it was something it was a central or south american truck, since that's about the only place they're available

  • This particular model is available only in central and south america however the Australian, European, Asian and i believe the African markets get another 4 door ranger based on the Mazda bt25/Bravo chassis...2.5-3.0 turbo diesel or 2.5-2.9na...i have an 03 2.9 diesel here in jamaica

  • what are the chances of buying one in mexico and bring it the US do you?

  • @mlcracing1....you can't get one they are only available in south america

  • this is probly a mexico based model

  • Diesel IS a dirty word in the states. It's asinine that people will spend huge bucks on an ugly, complicated Prius so they can get 43 mpg when a VW TDI can easily get 50+ mpg. Best of all, I read an article last week saying Toyota LOSES money on every Prius they sell. If every other piece of a vw wasn't over-engineered and unreliable, i'd buy one in a heartbeat.

I own a ranger and would love to drop in a small diesel and add one of the hydrogen fuel cell assist systems to get 40-45 mpgs.

  • Doesn't have to be a small diesel to get that kind of mileage. My neighbor has a 2004 Ram with the 5.9L Cummins and a 6 sp trans. He gets 35 mpg using a Diablosport tuner. The factories just don't tune diesels right to get the mileage out of them. I also know a guy that gets 42 out of a 6.6L Duramax. Diesel IS dirty word here, but crickcrackatack was right, it's just because people ASSUME a lot about diesels. I'm pro diesel, no matter who makes it, but my favorite is the Duramax.

  • @MrKalebr....cummins makes a 3.0 engin here in the states

  • Actually that 3.0 is a Benz diesel, although now that Fiat owns Chrysler they're building one to. According to some magazines I've read, we're supposed to be getting diesel Wranglers here in late 2010. It'll be nice to see somebody putting diesels in smaller diesels

  • your truck is very good, and with a creed`s song, just make`s a perfect match.

  • Obrigado Marcos!!! Me divirto com eles!!!

  • ENDING PRODUCTION....Maybe in the USA...

But you will find that UK and Europe will most likely keep the Ranger in production, same as Ford never never did the Expedition or the Excursion... $9 to $10 U$D a gallon you soon see why!

  • lol this is the superduty of 3rd world countries

  • lol

  • I would buy a 4 door ranger in a second if they freakin sold them in america. What gives? The Sport Tracs bed is way to small so isn't even an option.

  • What lift-wheel combo do you have on this truck? like size wise

  • It's a 3" Body Lift and 15"X8" wheels, with Goodyears MT/R 33"X12.5"

  • wtf? i cant find a four door anywhere...

  • Go to central America, but to be honest, paople who complain about 4 door rangers not being in american really need to look at Ford Explorer Sport Trac.'s. Same truck differnt name.

  • Actually you are quite wrong. The Sport Trac is based on the Explorer which is no longer based on the Ranger. The Sport Trac has independent rear suspension as opposed to a solid axle and it has lower ground clearance and the bed is quite small.
