Poor guy all those reporters kept bothering and telling him a lot of questions. If I was there, I'd say " GET OUT MOTHER****** I'LL PIMP SLAP U ANYTIME!!!" GET OUT U REPORTERS OR I'LL KICK U IN THE SHIN!!!!!! "
@TThorne931 WTF u try not sleeping for 3 days and watching people die knowing doing ur best isnt good enough, ever heard of the words sympathy and compassion?
All roads were covered by landslides or destroyed in the quake, an entire village was covered by a landslide. Our soldiers built a road using planks to climb over the mountain to get to the site.
Our supplies were limited, we ran out of medical supplies due to slowness of resupplying caused by the lack of roads.
When we arrived, we pulled survivors from the rubble, and I saw comrades get buried when they tried to rescue a survivor. <- this is when he fainted.
Amazing how he can be through what he obviously has but faint at this moment but having thought a little i reckon it was because at that time it was probably the first time that everything built up inside him were free to start leaking and to take hold as the protection of being pumped with adrenaline which he had during the bad times now having worn off within caused it. I dont agree with sticking the camera onto somebody whos obviously in a bad way like that. Poor little sod
@Kawp123 basially he was talking about he was helping people out of an air plane then goes talking about this one guy, not really important or related to his fainting
Yeah I feel bad for the guy too. Hes obviously upset at the carnage hes seeing. But the most probable reason he passed out is because his commie overlords had him out there working 24/7 for God knows how long.
well, People would never understand this guy was rescueing disaster survivers days & night. He is one of the hero i bet. & He has a right to pass out. Saving people's life isn't that easy. especially , MEGA SCALE disaster area in CHINA.
He must have witnessed horrible things. I can sympathize with him. I saw allot of bad stuff, on 9/11/01, at the the WTC. It's a shock to the system, which doesn't come across when these tragedies are viewed on TV news video.
This is too long ago i dont even know what the original message was. But if you think i was rude you misunderstood. I should have been referring to a crude person on the message area. Happy?
With disaster of this proportion, with all means of ground transportation cut by land slides, and with weather that will not permit planes to fly to ground zero, do YOU, jimfee42, expect the Chinese to just sit back and wait for the road and the sky to clear? 130,000 military and rescue personnel mobilized in the rescue effort, you have no right, especially as an American in the post Hurricane Katrina era, to criticize the Chinese Government of any wrong doings in this Earthquake relief.
So are you telling me that having the troops walking days and nights to ground zero is the right decision? How come the govt is utilizing the military aircrafts now while those troops are still marching? How come no troops arrive before Wen? By the way, military aircrafts can land in a worse weather condition. Please don't use that as an excuse. The fact is many people are death because of the inability of the Chinese govt. I guess they haven't learned from the snow storm.
can u please tell me where are they gonna land?! so ur expecting them to land where-ever and maybe die?! there is already enough ppl who lost their families during the earthquake.
parachutes dumb dumb. You need troops to have an accessment to the conditions first. Then set up a parameter for mass landing. Troops are trained to do those tasks in a hostile environment.
That is exactly what was not available. Since no ground units can enter earlier, so no possiblities of set up a parameter for landing at all. The Chinese airbone had done its 1st drop without setting up any guiding, which results of 4 deaths and 10 missing, they had done so with everyone writing up a pre jump posthumous paper. Do you know most military reacted first to join the rescue are mostly Sichuan locals? They have their families buried under the ground, they know the pains too.
I can tell you no military aircrafts on the planet can land in the epicenter in Sichuan (maybe UFO can). Because the epicenter is basically all mountains, no flat, clear land and long enough runway for aircraft to land (helicopter cant carry many) there are 3 narrow roads into, but both mudflooded. The Chinese had order the airbone to jump into the area, but jumping in such geography landscape without ground unit to guide was highly risky, plus bad weather. You dont seem to know much about this.
how come aircrafts are utilized now, but not before? Why not asked helps from Japan and Taiwan where they have experts for earthquake rescue? My point is the Chinese govt failed its people in this earthquake. I am not saying they haven't tried, but in a wrong way and that causes many more people die under the rubble. You all are telling me that everything the Chinese govt has done are perfect so far.
It's easy for you to say, you are right that the Taiwanese and Japanese rescue groups may have more experience on earthquake, but I dont think the Chinese govt have done wrong on letting the military rescue teams to do the effort at the prime priority. Because the conditions were complex 1st, and letting other groups' entry may complicated the effort and diverse the power to support these teams. By the way how can these teams with those equips enter the area anyway, I would say the same on foot
You missed the whole point by writing a book. I didn't say they haven't tried, but too little too late. How many helicopters were utilized? 19 two days after earthquake and about 100 afterward. How many helicopters does China have? How many troops does China have and how many have been utilized? Do the math and tell me the Chinese govt has done a great job in this tragedy.
I wasn't missing the point, it was you keep jumping from one subject to another. Anyway, it's the fact that China don't have enough large transportational helicopters, only 20+ blackhawk and some M-17 for whole country. More, China basically don't have helicopter airmobile troops, like the US Rangers or Cavalry divisions, especially in the Chengdu military division, the only newly developed airmobile troops were trained and stationed at Nanjing and Guangzhou divisions, including navy.
Bad weather means no helicopter rope jumping available, (of course not parachutes jumping either, god knows where they will endup to). So, basically, you should imagine a helicopter jump mission during the night with no lights on ground, in heavy rain and no ground guiding in a mountain area where geography as complicated as Afghanistan, so tell me how you can make the jump but not crashing the helicopter onto the mountains? It's just a fact that the Chinese air force cant compare to USAF.
Anyway, it's no use to talk about those. What I was all saying is I believe the Chinese military personnel aint that stupid, if possible, i dont think anyone would retarded enough to take on foot rather than fly by air. You cant use the US military standard to measure the Chinese military, they dont have the advanced technologies and mechanism like the USA, especially Airforce. Seeing helicopters flying all over the sky during disasters can only be seen in the US, China doesnt have those yet.
Of course the aircrafts can only be utilised later after the quake but not right after the quake, you should know all air force units are not stationed at the Chengdu military division, the air units surrounding the quake zone had been taken into the rescue at the very 1st minute, but the major other air units can only arrive when the grather the support resource and equip and travel from nationwaide to the area, that means delay is inevitable.
Remember, no one can predict the quake, grather resue power before the event is impossible. All you are saying is based on one assumptionthat the Japanese and Taiwanese resuce groups are better than the Chinese rescue teams, on some degree you are right, but the Chinese rescue teams including the military rescue teams have experience and equipments on coping with natural disasters too(Chinese military were always on duty for all major disasters as we can see during the past decades).
If you watch the news, you may even see large amount of sniffer dogs were gathering on to the planes to the quake zone for helping to find surviors. I do agree the Chinese should let the Japanese and Taiwanese or other rescue teams enter earlier, at least should keep up the peace with the military rescue teams, but I think the Chinese rescue teams are not that worse, they had joined many international rescue missions before as well, i.e. Turkish, Iranian, Pakistani earthquake rescue operations.
I think all Chinese would thank for what other rescue efforts have brought by the foreign rescue teams, but simply judge how good the Chinese govt had done on whether or not to let these teams enter earlier is not right.
We should know that only relying on these help cant solve the problems, the Chinese ordered all power available to cope as soon as possible is correct, you know the Chinese prime minister Wen had arrived there only 4 hours after the quake by air, I believe with the his arrival, no one will delay any possible effort. The 1st airbone drop into the epicenter had done under difficulties with 4 members dead and 10 missing, do you think the Chinese govt wasnt doing what it can right after the event?
By watching a CNN footage of the reporter asking a communist local offical about the current situation, the offical brief answered and quickly ran back to work with a radio calling for needed. The CNN reporter told in front of the camera, that local official had lost all his family in the quake, can you imagine how he join to work to help rescue others with huge pain engaged by know the fact? Chinese govt and CCP may not favoured by many, but they are certainly doing their jobs at the moment.
@jonnyqi What are you trying to imply? The average American had nothing to do with Hurricane Katrina nor could the average American effect the effectiveness of the rescue efforts of FEMA for Katrina. Your an idiot.
