Can I Use Plumbing Tubing for a Central Vacuum System?

I purchased an Imperium 7800 central vacuum system (a "house brand" offered only at Central Vacuum Stores). From start to finish, this was the most satisfying purchase I have made in a long time. The salesperson was very knowledgeable and helped me make the right choices on equipment. The items arrived intact, complete, and on time. My installation questions were answered patiently and completely. Central vacs clean better, are quiet enough to listen to the radio, & NO stinky vacuum smell!
