This is definitely the worst representation of Amsterdam anyone can give. If you'd explore a little more, looked around, and maybe even planned your trip better.. you would've seen how beautiful amsterdam can be.. damn truly ridiculous this.

Is this really part of the official Lonely Planet channel? This is rediculous. If you really think Amsterdam is about pot and the red light district you obviously didn't really try to see more than a couple of streets in the centre.

I went to Amsterdam about a year ago. It seemed...idk, kinda dusty, lol. Its definitely over-rated to me. The red light district is like being at a really lame strip club. The sluts were horrible too. Some were beautiful and looked like models but most of them were just old and ugly with saggy body parts, lol. Oh and some of them looked like men :-0...I actually think some of them were men. Its weird how they're posted in windows all day. It was not a place I would really want to go to again.

you have seen jus a little of holland, holland is a great place if u went in the summer they have awesome clubs and i love riding a bike threw all the little villages and the beaches are nice too. you should have done that, amsterdam is great for going out though and rotterdam!

I went to Amsterdam in 89 & some funny stories... My boyfriend was trying to take a picture of me @ HardRockCafe & he couldnt get the settings right, I kept lighting up the pipe & saying,did you get a picture, no? By the time he actually took the pic, I had "fallen asleep" with my head on the bar, everyone was laughing, hahaaa haaa. Did you notice how the hookers in the alleys were really ugly, they were cheaper. Yuk,who would pay to get cooties?!? Weren't you scared staying with guys in bedroom

we lived on 50euros a day which payed for hostels, food and tours and stuff..it was pretty fun

all the hostels in amsterdam were full in the summer so we stayed in this apartment..this video is pretty much what we experienced at night..w/out the japs...

but in the day it was completely different...
