I saw John Lithgow in London at Blue Elephant Condra in 1998 eating Indian food with his wife about 3 tables away from me. I spent the entire time weighing whether to go over and gush about how much I love 3rd rock. In the end, I did stop over and say a few things. He was very gracious and (I think) surprised that he got recognized.

Ironically John Frakes was there also...but I wasn't interested.

you can use a curling iron to make your hair appear thicker, theres also thickening agents you can use, tons and tons of ways!

flat irons help to make your hair seem thinner, its also the way its cut that can make it thinner, i have thick hair and get certain hair cuts to make it thinner, use certain products that came with my flat iron to help it be thinner.

I wondered how his hair went from being thin and straight to thick and wavy too but you have to remember that these actors go through hours of hair and makeup. I'm sure the hair and makeup people straightened his hair when it was long, and poofed it up a bit when he had it cut.
