  • very helpful, thanks!

  • He is so awkward

  • Admittedly, the Nikon straps are far more comfortable then Canon ones... But I refuse to use Nikon stuff so I just buy a third party one...

  • He's rich.

  • Waste of money imo.

  • I think kai doesn't like this lens...and he didn't want to make this video too.... :)

  • that's Asian way. They think weird is funky (4:12)

  • Incredible perfection lens!

  • like the sound effects

  • or you could buy a 30$ tripod.

  • without wanting to sound too stupid, can't you just raise and lower the camera with you hands instead of using the shift?

  • @aedryanchklar actually, no I think I need to do more research before saying that!

  • pardon my ignorance but wouldn't you just angle the camera?

  • Oh Lord

    Would you buy me

    A TS-E lens

  • Stop insulting the nikon neck strap with a the 5d mkII....

  • Comment removed

  • wat tripod at 2:50

  • @THEFLIPERS3 gitzo

  • Twaoung! haha

  • HONG KONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I could be wrong here but can't shifting be achieved by just lowering your tripod? And can't tilting be achieved by tilting your camera?

  • Comment removed

  • @uhmazingphil No, but with a little bit (or somemore) of lost it can be arranged with computer.

  • 0.40 camera guy

  • Comment removed

  • He uses a Canon body and a Nikon strap to show respect to both brand of cameras. :)

  • @wrobe00011 no he prefers nikon ..

  • @wrobe00011 No, it's widely known that Nikon straps are comfortable.

  • @wrobe00011 No. Because Canon make good cameras and Nikon make good straps :D

  • i hate this guy, such a bell end

  • you are ugly

  • God damn, you're such a fucking bummer.

  • nikon fetish, i love that :D

  • Is there a asherical and non aspherical lenses? Or all lenses are using aspherical elements?

  • Nikon neck strap is the best way to avoid being robbed...

  • I really wish you'd get to the point....A bit less failed attempts at comedy, a bit less waffling and I reckon you'd get no thumbs down at all.

  • @rogan71 if he does that he won't get thumbs up either...

  • Point and shoot mixed with sofware = amazing results! DSLR with software =amazing results. Whats so arrogant about that.

  • What exactly is the point of this? Photography is so over rated at times! I bought a 250 $ camera from wal mart and have amazing pictures and shooting 24 p short films as well. All you photography people seriously need to get your head out of your asses.

  • @graniteminds well that was an arrogant comment. You clearly lack attention to finer details and technical specs. its nice to hear you enjoy your point & shoot camera, but it will never match up to the type of photos a dSLR can capture

  • @graniteminds I agree with kdscy that was an arrogant comment. dslr cameras have capabilities that point and shoots could never live up to. the fine detail and the depth that the pictures can have is tremendous. plus dslr cameras can have much more mp than most point and shoots are capable of.

  • @graniteminds your just mad your poor and can't afford a dslr

  • @graniteminds that comes from the right one ROFL. Yeah, tell us about it

  • @graniteminds Your comments ignorant. You need to get your head out of your ass.

  • I like your tilt shift sound fx

  • crap & worst video on Tilt Shit Lens - u can do better

  • 3:19 looks like a photo of a toy set or a miniature city

  • Has no one else realized that he always shoots nikon with canon strap and canon with nikon strap?

  • @BlueMediaGroup It's the top comment dude ha

  • waiiiiiitttttt a minute at 3:38 "lets take a look at more architecture porn"? LOL

  • is that a good filming lens?

  • @WilleWallinHerrdin Its not a filming lens, its meant for nothing more than still photography, and its very specific on what it should be used for.

  • @unidigistudios okay thnx for the answer but do you know a good filming lens for canon?

  • @WilleWallinHerrdin anything with an L label and IS will be good, prime or zoom is your own preference but a zoom will be more adaptable.

  • @YauMannn okay thanks for the answer I was thinking about buying the L 17-40

but im not on a super high budget do you know anygood relatively cheap lenses?

  • @WilleWallinHerrdin Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM is the best i would say for video, i only like nikon but i have some knowledge of canon. this is pricey i would assume but if it is at all possible buy this one, do NOT scrimp on lenses, take good care and they will outlast your camera bodies 2-3 times through. i guess the Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS could be a cheaper alternative..

  • @YauMannn okay thanks for the answer you are awesome!

  • @WilleWallinHerrdin To be honest, its all dependent on wether you are on a budget or not, and you should get at least 1 zoom and 1 prime. I suggest the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 (or f/1.4 USM if you have deeper pockets) and a wide angle zoom, such as the 16-35mm f/2.8L USM(expensive... 2000$), 17-40mm f/4L USM(800$) and if you are in an APS-C camera, the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5 USM

  • @unidigistudios okat thank you so much! I was thinking about getting the Canon EF 17-40/4,0 L USM. but the L lens 17-40 iv+e seen a lot of footage of that one on youtube so I will probably buy that one aswell.

  • nikon strap on a canon...

  • i like tall building images that are not shifted... gives more sense of height rather than plain boring rectangle after shifting.

  • You can't insult the 5D Mk II, it's crap

  • did he just say architecture porn?

  • @Nolansingsavasylia People who know me well know the perfect present for me. That is architecture porn aka archi company portfolios. I love great architecture photographed by artists (good photographers). The books them selves usually look amazing.

  • i missread the title as what is this shit

  • Or just use photo shop........

  • dems is expensive pieces of glass.

  • "Right, let's take a look at some more architecture porn... FROAW look at the size of that!"

    "TWOAWONGGGG... it shifted!"

"Oh look, that's a bit weird and funky isn't it?"

  • just shift it down, why not lower the tripod lol

  • Comment removed

  • I just want to say... I've never heard a British accent coming out of an Asian mouth. It was startling, but then it grew on me.

  • @theshninja yea "that's a bit weird and funky isn't it?"

  • @theshninja Go to the UK and you'll hear millions of them!

  • canon shit

  • TWAWONNGGWWGWGWGWGWWWWW

  • canon camera, nikon strap.

    nice.xD

  • the lens is pricey

  • 3:25 looks so darn bokehlicious, what lens is that? all those perfect blurred balls!

  • Stop insulting the 5d mkii with a nikon neck strap...

  • @Swampy83

stop insulting the nikon neck strap with the 5d mkii

  • @tenchuu6666 :)

  • @Swampy83 for everybody who wonders why DRTV put the nikon strap on the canons is sooo obvious. its not so dickhead like all u guy on here can say "hey why a nikon strap on a canon !" its because the more products and brands featured in the video, the more money DRTV will get for advertising them ! fucking morons

  • @RTK1TV firstly it was friendly banter and also lets look at your comment ' lets feature as many products on the video.. we will feature a £1500 Canon lens, a £1400 5d mk2 body and (lets give nikon a chance) £20 neck strap... hmmm, before you are quick to lash out insults think before you speak. MORON!

  • @Swampy83 yea because its a review on a CANON product. why would they add a nikon camera or lens too it? just toss in a neck strap. why? Because thats ALL you need. its advertising the company, not the product. maybe go get a degree in marketing or business and you will understand.

  • @Swampy83 u mad brah?

  • @Swampy83 thats not an insult, its a complement.

  • @Swampy83 stop insulting the nikon strap with your slow focusing, soft, over processed canon..

  • @Swampy83 I love how he uses the Nikon strap because that is his way of silently showing that he like Nikon WAY better than Canon, and I can relate with him.

  • @Swampy83

Stop insulting that Nikon strap with a Canon attached to it

  • @Swampy83 for what?

  • @Swampy83 for what?

  • Would never buy one of these :L

  • Thumbs up if You WANT this :)

  • u didn said anything detailed about tilt !!

  • OK, now seriously. Why the hell does he have NIKON strap on his 5DmII?

  • @TheAlliandris dammit haah you beat me to it :P

  • @TheAlliandris ummm, because he wants to have something to grab in case he drops it. who cares what fucking strap he has on, what are you some fan boy who only fucks wearing canon condoms.

  • @chasingsnow Hey man, you didn't get it, did you? I was just kiddin' dude :D

  • can also be done afterwards quite easy i guess

  • lens cap fail

  • TWEONG.....

  • I think these are the best photo's this guy has ever done...

  • TWAOOOWNNNNN!

  • is this video h.264? It looks very high quality

  • @crockerfilm made with a 5d mark 2

  • WHAT A LENS CAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dudedude8998 ABOOGALOOGALOOGALOOOGALOOOOO!

  • I was wondering about these lenses. Great video.

  • I thought this was going to be a really cool fisheye....=[

  • i know a guy who made one of these with a stock 18-55 and a plunger.

  • @N0sPr4Yu would that be kipkay

  • @N0sPr4Yu it was on make magazine

  • Which Tlit Shift focal length prime offers the best effect for miniaturizing the picture?

  • why on earth can't you just by a tripod that you can move the camera up & down??

  • @photoman434 This video doesnt do an incredibly great job explaining what a tilt shift can actually do, just check wikipedia out, that explains why.

  • damn! after so long i still can't find it. does anyone know what's that song or band that's playing from 0:13 - 1:04?

    thanks so much.

  • Poor guy, has the worst humor ever. I doubt anyone laughs at his sarcasm.

  • lets do another,pwoooow

  • wat do u record ur vdo with.. evn at 360p it looks like 1080p :O

  • @sonalhero 5d mk 2 and a 24-105 f4L is

  • everybody here show the stupid, when dont know where the tilt shift lens actually used.

  • "That's not like real life". Yes it is if you're looking up at a building, like the camera did :P Humans don't have eyes that shifts.

  • can't you just lower or raise the tripod for the shift

  • @rcboatdriver1234 unless you can raise the tripod like 50 metres then it don't have the same effect. But you could just shoot it regularly and shift the perspective in photoshop to get straight lines.

  • @Jokker88 but the lens doesn't move up 50 meters.

  • At 2:00 our hero is creating a photograph in some kind of public space with a moving sidewalk. I have the feeling that I would be shot or arrested in San Francisco if I tried to photograph anything in any kind of public space associated with transportation of any kind. That's how bad the world is now for photography. "I'm sorry, sir, photography is not allowed on the property for 'security' reasons."

  • Can someone please explain to me what kai means by "funky" when on the foot walk? thanks

  • @TheLittleWorldofGaz Strange/weird.

  • Nikon straps are longer...

  • I still don't get it, but great video.

  • this lens looks like my penis

  • Wait, what's the difference between shifting a lens up/down and just adjusting tripod height? ಠ_ಠ

  • Comment removed

  • actually...the main part of this video is from 0:00 ~0:47..

    =.=

  • the lens is cool and expensive, but i really see no big difference. with normal lens :) my opinion tho

  • Oooh, Giorgio Armani at 3:30. :)

  • I was blown away by this video. An Asian with a British accent. Now I've seen it all.

  • @jcb1972 he speaks with british accent so he doesnt have to say the 'R'..

  • why buy such expensive lens when this effect can be done in a jiffy in photoshop, there's no great difference

  • @Boodhunnilesh because Photoshop cannot do the same as truly tilting and you'll always lose some pixel info with PS perspective control - depends what you class as 'no great difference' - its a lens for professional architectural photography.

  • @Boodhunnilesh because that is something to be proud of.

  • @Boodhunnilesh for movies

  • I don't even wanna imagine how expensive that lens is. Oh and thanks for poiting out the tilting of buildings, I won't be able to do landscape photography again without noticing that, lol.

  • @monkeyboy85 Its like £3,000

  • LOL, I think I've just found the Jeremy Clarkson of the photography world...

Awesome videos, very Informative : )

  • I stole his Canon strap and so, he had to use his old Nikon strap...

  • You know what else tilts and shifts.....giggedy...

  • stupid. 5d with nikon strap.

i know u love nikon or maybe nikon doesnt have gd tilt shift eh? lol

  • A Canon with a Nikon strap !? ***** YOU !! ;D

  • BOHKEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • there are lensbabys can you please give us a review? PLEEASE!

  • @ipadize cheap, very weird and cool.

  • Never seen so many expensive stuff used for so low quality pics.

  • @Gannondalf I have an english accent as well, and I'm asian, so what'd you mean?

  • @joshjoshrowell that's because your not an architecture photographer.

  • ...........TWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

    lol

  • 3:34 "architecture porn"?

  • intro xD Hahahaha! omg

  • twaaaaaaaaaaaang

  • wicked.

  • Not to mention they cost 2000 +

  • @joshjoshrowell It's for engineers made firstly. Then it leaked out and some people used it just for fun.

  • @wwild2k idiot

  • WHAT LENSE U RECORDED THIS WITH

  • @mccraykennet 24-105L

  • this guys accent doesnt suit him

  • @joshjoshrowell watch tyler the creator's music video yonkers. one was used to that. it's more useful for film honestly

  • If only I could afford one..... Beautiful tool to create unique images anywhere there needs to be large or tiny focal planes, or to correct vertical lines.

  • @joshjoshrowell its good if ur a lazy fuck and ur dont wanna g on an angle

  • just straightens everything up and makes it look like your taking the picture horizontally rather then 'upwards'

  • @joshjoshrowell well its a pretty cool looking lens.....that's about it
