Just an update, my uncle is in all serious the vocalist Ross Knight, he now has two children, both boys, Jika, 15, and Gayde, 5. Gayde's middle name is Rocket after Robbie who died years ago.
A band that had top billing very early on. You wouldn't want to be on after them.
St.Kilda and surround's; in the late 1970's and the early 1980's the pub's, and the band's that played in them, carried on the baton of artistic creation.
Thank's for the audio. Drive me up the wall, I ant no spider; I was singing this for a while.
Prince of wales on saturday night, these guys were playng a regular support (believe it) gig there. We would have the place almost to ourselves and these guys would just go off, we would just go nuts...woo hoo, those were the days mid eighties!
Got turned on to them from a dude in PA when I was in college after a rare Cosmic Psychos appearance here in the States back in '92 or '93. We Yanks dig'em too! Killer!
@funariata The Psychos played some US gigs in '93. I was over from Australia in July that year and saw them play a club in LA near Hollywood called Jabberjaw. The crowd really got into them. Rocket, who used to play bass in a classic old Melbourne band called I Spit On Your Gravy, was on guitar. He replaced Dirty, who played the first three records, including this.
When I first saw these guys was nearly asleep after watching Rat Cats first up. The first few Psychos bars had me straight on my feet at the Petersham Inn, oddly can't quite remember the headline band think it was the Buzzcocks but minds a blur.
I remembr seeing these guys at the 1st or second Big day out in Melbourne. It rained at night just before mud honey played. By the time the Psychos came on after, it was a mud bath. After about 2 songs people started throwing mud at them,so much so that they stopped and went off stage. But the mud still flew for a good 5 mins. Then Peter comes out, drops his dacks and mooned the crowed. He walked away with so muchmud up his ass and in his pants. Fuck it was funny.
nah. but feel free to kick him anyway. btw, while john hearts the seekers, it's janet who's the psychos fan. saw her take an amazing dive at the old greek in '90.
absolument génial!!!!!
