The definition of the word "marriage" as being between a man and a woman comes from a religious view. Marriage is no longer a religious institution, it is now a legal one now... since the foundation of marriage has changed to benefit all couples in society, then the definition of it has to also, so that everyone has the same rights and is equal.

@vvyperr7 The bible also condones slavery, so why don't we practice that anymore? why don't we stone children to death for being rude to their parents, why don't we burn witches and kill people for working on sunday, we don't practice these things because we realise they are wrong. The views expressed in the bible are those of uneducated, ignorant men in the middle east during the bronze ages, and their opinions are not acceptable ones in society today. Why should we bend over (no not literally!) and change laws to cater for homosexuals when marriage has always been a sacred union between man and woman? Why now do they deserve that when it's never happened in the history of mankind. Your accepted in mainstream society as equal as anyone else but stop fighting and crying for more and more. Say what you want cause you'll obviously be bias if your gay but the thought of two men raising a child makes me sick and i feel terribly sorry for that kid

@malindor Yeah of course that makes me sick, but the thought of two men raising a little child makes me even sicker, What little child would choose to have two parents of the same sex if they could choose a "normal" upbringing with mum and dad? None, Zilch, Nada, Zero. I know that option of mum and dad isn't always available but personally i'm thankful i wasn't raised by dad and dad

@JRealkkk if you start belonging to a minority, ever. Don't start complaining. If someone is born into this world, they are a natural creation of this place. Therefore, if they're gay, that must be natural. This "being gay isn't natural" bullshit doesn't fly anymore. People don't chose their sexuality. Furthermore, you don't have to like how other people are, because sure as hell you're against gay rights, there are people against people like you.

@Inphatuation I never mentioned or meant being gay is not natural did i? No i said gay marriage is not natural and i stand by it. I'm tolerant to an extent but i certainly don't want my children or any children to grow up thinking two men can marry in the same sense as a man and woman, it's not right, never has been right and hope it always stays that way. As i said before if your father had've been gay you would never exist would you. @riceqween01 you took me out of context with that

@JRealkkk Come off it. You can preach your own tolerance if you can't accept someone loving someone of the same gender. That's just redundant. Being gay doesn't mean you can't have children. We're in modern times. A single woman can have a baby if she so chooses. Two women can have children. A single man and TWO men. Loving someone of the same gender doesn't inhibit your ability to be a parent. And so what if a man wants to marry a man. It's not taking away any validity of your marriage.

The fact is...is that the ciil rights movement passed. Its old news yes it doenst take away from our past but we have moved on and they don't have to fight for equality anymore. We are very much in the time of the "gay movement" and we will soon look on this as old news because it will be seen just as dumb as segreation was.
