I have that car it rocks but what's bodering me is that i forgot the break in prosess im new to this stuff but the engine still runs:) but if it stops i know how to mount a new engine :)lol.

The scewes that hold the exaust system just keep falling off no matter how hard i scew them and when they loosens the car makes a hell of a sound.

Ah, I can relate the having nitro fumes smelling up the house. I have been trying to get my r/c dialed in and working and many a day over the past few days there was some smoke and nitro fumes in the house. The one day it was practically spitting nitro out the exhaust and into my face. My lungs burned as if I had taken a good rip off a huge bong which took me back to my youth. The burning of the eyes is not enjoyable. I love the smell of nitro buring in a well tuned engine.

@mongosoppen Yes another .18 engine will fit. go with SH, engine with slide carb. you will need some mod to for that. during break in use HSN to run it rich, your break in process should work fine. No worries

well VX and SH are good engines :) I would say SH is more reliable and worth the money :) But ask ali, cause he has like loads of SH's, I only have one :)

Some say you can only break in VX's by idling, they are a hecka fast with low weight and high output or something like that. I'd pay for VX's for performance or if it comes with the car. Yea VX's are usually for on-road.

SH's are so dam easy to start! I love them, although mine is being weird because I was stupid when I got it and didn't break it in, also it took a lot of beating before, But I try taking care of it nowadays, slow.....

hey when i was cleaning my engine i found that my exaust manafold that conects to my engine the seal was split in half. now my engine is leaking and i cant find a part for it or how to seal it. plz help me

im not the guy who made this video, but you could buy a new one, or try to find a way to fix the old seal. oh and by the way, their called gaskets. a gasket is anything sealing the engineto a certain part on the engine

Fault in what you did. For all rc new engines, you need to disassemble the whole engine and look at the sleeve and everything because there might be some metal shavings or some Styrofoam from when it was packaged. trust me it happens.

you need to properly set the HSN n LSN. Tune the engine properly. Check my video "Understanding Carb n tuning the engine" n use 20% nitro or more percentage is better. Use Hot glow plugs

hey ali bro, i got a new clutch bell and the guy at the modelshop fitted it, but he used this tool called piston locking tool, he put it where the glow plug is, how come u didnt use the piston locking tool

Well at the moment when I shot the video, I did not have the piston lock and fly wheel wrench. I shot the video and showed everyone that you don't need specialized tools to do these things. Cuz a normal user (RC Hobbyist) won't have those specialized tools. so no worries

Well mate, I believe these are very affordable engines and they also perform very well. Plus Vertex Engines are improving in quality too. However yes soon I will be working with RedCat Racing n will be doing lot more work in RC Cars truck n buggies QC n Development ;D Cheers

aahahaha what i done with the 2 peice clutch was the spring first then just push it onto the fly wheel and it works still but i went to the 3 piece metal clutch shoe and blue fly wheel nice video man it helps out alot

i have a question if you break in a brand new motor in the cold is that bad? just wondering b/c im getting a 3.3 trx tomorrow and i just wanted to know b4 i go and breaking it in in the cold?

its ok to break in in the cold. remember Beginners always make a big mistake, they think in cold weather engine should run lean so the heat can be generated and engine will run good in cold, and run the engine rich in summer or hot weather. it's wrong. During winter or cold weather, you should run your engine just a bit richer and in summer a bit leaner. trust me, it keeps the engine running well with right temp. as Air in winter and summer has different density :)

uh im kinda new still b/c i got mine for my last b-day and the 2.5r trx motor went out in it and so should i leave it at the factory settings on the hsn or lsn? or lean one of them a little for the cold it's right now 33 degrees.......get back asap thanks bye

well if your truck is doing well on idle speeds, don't touch the LSN. You can set the HSN as per your requirements but still in cold weather it's a good idea to run it a little bit rich. :) Cheers

well um i got another question if you stop the break in proccess at tank 3 is that bad b/c the glow plug went out in it

no worries. Just put the glow plug back in, let the engine cool down and start it again. I previously did 3 tanks of break in and then started playing around on full speeds. still everything went fine. So no worries. usually after 2nd Tank engine is pretty much ready :) but not for full speed. can play around normal
