It's going pretty good (I don't know about for the N95 Nokia cell, but in general, leaps and bounds have been made and are still being made) - @hminaya, the point of this is that you can point your phone at any known structure (anything that has been catalogued) and your phone will tell you what it is. Pointless? Ok, say your lost and your friend needs to know what you're near... Bingo.
@mmould03 Furthermore, as the tech improves and you get live updates, the names will appear on screen, perhaps detailed, expandable info on each item with the touch of your screen, user submitted photos, etc. For instance, say you're standing in front of Yankee Stadium in NYC. You point your phone's camera at it and right on your display, it reads "Yankee Stadium", another button for picks of Jeeter smashing a homerun, perhaps a list of game dates and times. Limitless possibilities.
