Holy BLEEP!! This is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. Also amazing is the amount of sheer ENERGY this song imbues the listener with. WOW.
I like the pharseing or whatever this is called, the words or sounds that is done along with the instruments. Makes chills~~~~~fantastic. Maybe someone can share what it is called when they do this. Really cool: Talvin Singh does this, really Net. : -) Love this genre of music so much. : -)
Thank you for sharing this knowledge, I just love when they "bol" I will now research. Peace and Love. The Indian music genre does a job of reaching right to the core and add the "bol" well triple that REACH to the Whole Body. Peace and Love. : -)
I believe I ask you WISE one on another vid what phrasing is called. A fellow commenter told me when I ask, he thought it was called bol-ing. Now on a Ravi Shaukar , Alla Rakha tabla solo in Jhaptai, Ravi explains a tala to us and gives us a small lesson into the writing of Raga's and Tala's. So Wise-One I am trying my best as an American to learn this wonderful genre of Indian music. Help me or hinder me from learning. That is YOUR choice. Peace and Love and Namaste' to you.: -)
@nancy12 perhaps your "doing time" in a Baptist Christian college sparked your passion for finding truly wonderful music. By being deprived of something or experiencing what we DON'T want, it opens you to really allowing and appreciating what you DO want, : ) Peace : )
WISE-ONE could this be a tala?? I understand a tala to be 'Rhythmic cycles" with a scope of 3 beat/cycles to 108 beat/cycles? Since I called these sounds bol-ing I believe these sounds are the notes done with vocal and mimicked by the tabla. Thought you may know since you questioned my bol-ing. : -)
Thank you so much, great coming back to this vid, truly a magnificent performance. It sounds like a very difficult vocal to "boli" : -))) I could not discuss Indian/genre at all, I had to study +listen, Oh how much wonderful music I missed spending time in a Baptist Christian College. I should sue them for not Teaching me 3/4 of music appreciation. What do you think? :- )))The instruments, the flute + tabla's are magnificent sounds, the bass used in many reach to your solar Plexus. ( THE Breath)
Thank you so much, it is really chilling that is all I know. We are missing so much in the Engish language. Never get tired listening to this. Peace and Love. Namaste! From a sheeple to an enlightened soul. SOOOO great. :- )
Thank you for the spelling lesson, some of we folks (American's) have brain issues. I shall try to do better next time. OK wise one.: -) This is a fantastic vid, and maybe you could share what the phrasing is called. A Fellow reply-er told me he thought it was called bol-ing. I would love to know so I can become a bit wiser as an American. : -) Peace and Love to you. :)

these sounds are boli usually used as background score in indian classical dance forms such as bharatnatyam and kathak
