It was a high class final. I was rooting for Ferrer, but Murray was just too good.

Best Murray I've ever seen on this Asian Swing. Now he passes Federer on the rankings, and he deserves it.

Murray isn't one of my big favourites, but if Djoker and Federer would have been on the Asian swing and won, of course there would have more people watching.

This means nothing. This certainly isn't the first time the Scot has played extremely well in non-GS events only to fail to produce the same magic at the slams. The very same players he beats bring their best games to the slams, but Murray can't play winning tennis 7 matches in a row in best of 5 as easily as Federer/Nadal/Djokovic. Until Murray wins a slam, all this hype means nothing.

@AllGenreMusic Grand Slams don't mean everything. Masters titles are the 2nd most important tournaments in the world. If you can get to W no 1 without winning a grand slam, it shows you are consistent in other tournaments (eg: Wozniacki) and you have to win a lot more of those tournaments to equal the amount of points won by winning a GS.

@XxMaplerzxX Well technically the Year End Championships are the 2nd most prestigious title considering it is once a year (compared to 9 MS events) but yeah, I get your point that Grand Slams don't mean everything. If you look at it objectively, of course Murray has been a highly successful and consistent top tennis pro so it is unfair to say he has been bad because only a handful can win the slams. However, the issue is the hype he gets when he wins these couple tournaments outside the slams.
