  • Traditionally you put two small pinches on the side of your hand by your thumb. and snort one up each nostral pressing on each nostal in turn. Do too much and you get a mucky nose. but its better than smoking a cigaret and it smells nice.

  • I like Poschl rasberry, McCrystals medicated, and Samual Gawith is a really good make. Also try Cigar-connoissure.co.uk. They do Frederick Tranter snuff. used to shop in the tranter shop when I lived in Bath. Awsome selection

  • SOON YOU WILL WORK FOR 'EXPERT VILLAGE IDIOTS'!

  • Bless you!

  • McFagin

  • One of my buddy's had some stuff like this and we didn't really know how to do it and were snorting lines of it like cocaine or something we were coughing and gagging for five or so minites

  • We miss you Mark!

  • LOL he kissed his cat

  • Try the mcchrystals website

the "Original" has a crackin' flavour

btw have a look at the photo's on their site for the size of portions needed to get the nicotine come through.

    thanks for the vid bud

  • cedar wood and.. dried leaves

  • the dust of talc

  • awesome vid my friend.........thanks for the update......

  • Try swedish Snus :)

  • thats the problem with snuff that is too finely ground.....through the nose and straight to the lungs

  • @inkey2 lol yeah i decided to try some Dholakia a few months ago and that is the dustiest snuff i have ever tried. its really tough to use snuff like this. i have never tried a bad poschl though.

  • seems to be quite strong ;D

  • Helped me quit smoking , but the buzz is harder to get seeing as how you have to shove what feels like salt and tear gas up your nose

  • That kind you has sucks. its american. the stuff from europe is the best.

  • Hey man nice video. Do you get a little head high, or buzz from doing snuff?

  • @scro1 It has nicotine in it, so you would get a nicotine buzz from it, although it is different from Cigarettes and Chew / Dip. More like dip than anything though, the longer you let it sit in your nose the more nicotine is absorbed

  • Just got the 50g tin of this in the mail today. My new favorite!

  • loved the video. i bought sweet scotch snuff today thinking it was dip but it wasnt. after watching this i knew wut it was and it smells really good and i like it

  • can someone tell me if this is legal in america? if so, where would i be able to purchase some? also, what is the purpose for this? does it give you a nicotine high or is it a rush? thanks

  • @gsboss It is legal in America, though probably harder to find in some places. There is an American Snuff company actually. Try taking a look at Mr.Snuff (.com) , you can order the stuff online. check out my channel for some snuff reviews too if you're interested!

  • Dude..what have you taken BEFORE making this video...you seem so....DISTRACTED. You're snuffing it WRONG..its not supposed to go to the back of your throat or sinuses, but just up into your lower nostril. Sniff it like you're just sniffin back in a low-hanging bugger..hahahaaa.

  • A good video. Check out mine if your a beginner or curiouse. The nic will hit you if you don't use other tobacco products. Also, for someone like me, I use quite a bit of this so I notice the kick. As mentioned in the comments, try the Taxi, or try Dholakia White, Rooster, Three Thistles Strong, etc.. for some stonger nic hits.

  • hey man what is that song playing in the background? just curious

  • What a douchebag

  • Excellent video! I've never used any tobacco product, but I'm looking into exploring snuff a little bit. I've ordered four different brands that others have recommended to me: Fribourg & Treyer High Dry Toast (as per your video), Samuel Gawith Kendal Brown Original, Samuel Gawith Blue Crest, and (for some reason), FUBAR Medic. As a "beginner" with no idea what to expect, what do you think of these? Any others i should keep an eye out for?

  • wut does snuff have effect people? i never snuffed, only dipped a few times and only smoked cigarettes a few times, and where do you get snuff

  • you always have to take one more for every sneeze ;-)

  • Real sneezy gear, the old high-dry toast. Great though, makes your head light up like a light-bulb, especially if you have a ciggy on the go simultaneously.

  • do a line man! I tried the shit that way the first time and passed out!

  • im trying this stuff so i can quit moist Snuff just order some I hate it when i get it in back of my throat

  • F&T High dry toast was the first snuff i tried, big mistake! Just bought some wilsons of sharrow irish coffee which is quite good. Just a bit confused when using snuff, are you supposed to feel the snuff in the back of your throat or is that just sniffing too strong.

  • Hello, Love the video. I was wanting to know if you had heard about a tobacco that is popular with women in India. I don't know much about it and have only read about it once. It is in a paste form and the brush their teeth with it...I am still trying to figure out the name. Keep up the good work!

  • @911no I believe the stuff you're referring to is called "Beetle Nut". Im not totally sure, and that may be slang for the same thing. The stuff I'm talking about is a concoction of tobacco, and herbs that they roll up and chew on. Over time it will turn the teeth a deep pearly black color, which is apparently considered beautiful. I saw a lot of this in parts of SE Asia.

  • @MahkMahkMark @911no

"In India, creamy snuff is a paste consisting of tobacco, clove oil, glycerin, spearmint, menthol, and camphor sold in a toothpaste tube. It is marketed mainly to women in India and is known by the brand names Ipco (made by Asha Industries), Denobac, Tona, Ganesh."

I just read that on wikipedia right before watching this. I tried beetlenut while traveling through SE Asia last summer and I'd take a can of Cope over that nasty shit any day.

    hope this helps

  • @MahkMahkMark

I think it's actually called "creamy Snuff" - it's i'm told it's sold in a tube, like toothpaste, and includes stuff like tobacco, clove oil, mint, glycerin and menthol.

"Betel nut" refers to the Areca nut, which is rolled in a betel leaf, along with lime, and sometimes herbs.

The black teeth are freaky, huh?

  • @911no Possibly "beedi".

  • @911no Might also be Dholakia snuff, very popular w/women in India and some varieties have Neem root which can be used as a dentifrice.

  • @911no There's a couple out there. One is just known as "creamy snuff," it's a mixture of tobacco, clove oil, menthol, glycerin, spearmint and camphor, and that comes in a toothpaste-like tube. a popular brand of that is IPCO. There's also a type called Gul or Gadakhu, which is like tobacco powder mixed with molasses, and that one is actually advertised as a dentifrice, or something designed to help maintain oral hygiene. Both are predominantly used in Central and Southern Asia.

  • can you buy this in like a convenience store or just in tobacco shops and online. sorry for any ignorance i am new to the concept and this seems to be one of the most popular

  • @homepie64 Hey thanks for watching and commenting.

Snuff can be found in some smoke shops, but even then, they'll usually have a pretty small selection. The best place to get it is online. There are a handful of dedicated dealer that you can find with a simple web search.

  • @MahkMahkMark ty!

  • try some w.e. garrett and sons its freaking stout its so strong!

  • Weird. I was going to try snuff but I'm not sure that I will now. I'm not sure I'd want to get addicted to that tobacco scent as I've just switched to the E-cigarettes. I don't know if I'd like that burning sensation either. Hmm..

  • So, just out of curiosity, what is the feeling from doing snuff like as opposed to say a cigarette? I remember the first few times I smoked a cig I got a bit of a light-headed feeling, is it sort of like that? Love your videos, love your pipes, dig your cat, and always been a fan of oregon.

  • I personally don't get a Nicotine rush at all from snuff. But I smoke a pipe every day at least once, so....

It's really just a pleasant blast of aroma that completely takes over your senses for just a few fleeting seconds.

    Thanks for watchin' !

  • looks like your having a blast! great vid!!

  • You gotta try this shit. It's pretty fun!

  • hey man i have a shit load of snuff on the way!

    looking forward to it!

i'll post a vid of my nonsense!!

  • im gonna look for one of those inhalers, im kind of hooked on the Vick's inhaler, with dry snuff i dont get any nicotine feeling ether, its just a different sensation. good video.

  • LOL! God bless you. That's whats exactly happends to me when I first started snuff last month. Snizzing, coughing, watery eyes, and brain freeze! Apparently, I sniff too hard!

    Cheers!

    Michael

  • That's great! What snuff are you liking?

  • @MahkMahkMark By far the Irish Coffee and Honey Menthol by Wilsons of Sharrow.

  • HDT is an ultra fine grind snuff and it is really hard to take for newbie snuffer, try " Toque Whiskey & Honey " for something better in taste and very easy to take.

    Cheers.

  • Thanks for the recommendation! " Toque Whiskey & Honey " seems to be VERY popular indeed. I (we) had no idea you were into snuff, as well as having an amazing pipe and tobacco collection.... (this is where you make a video) .... :-)

  • Cool vid, Mark!

    HDT is a classic.

What's the brand name of that inhaler with the essential oils? I'd like to try one out. I use a Vicks Vapor Inhaler after I do a cold water nose "douche" when I'm done snuffing, or clogged up from it.

    Peace,

    Brian

  • Yo B! The name brand of the inhaler is 'Poy-Sian'. It's made in Bangkok Thailand, so I doubt you'll find it here. But I would imagine there are similar products here in North AmeriKa.

  • good job mark, way to stick it out. in case you're still sneezing- "bless you" : )

    Paul

  • I had to wait to reply to your comment because I was STILL sneezing! Thanks Paul. Peace out. - Mark

  • haha snorting things has always been something ive been wary to try. good vid though very entertaining as usual!

  • You need to be putting more up your hooter mate.. or try Taxi Red.. Great video.

  • "As my Grandmother would say, it's different".

    Still laughing over that vid!

  • More!!?! Good lord! My teeth are loose ; )

  • Great video Mark!

I agree with you about not getting a nicotine kick from snuff. Hovever, I really overdid it one night and ended up with a splitting headache... the likes I use to have when I was smoking two packs of cigarettes/day. A little snuff now and then feels invigorating though.

    Cheers,

    Mike

  • i'm with crow - no appeal for me, but fun to watch others use the product - gesundheit, by the way ; ) MM

  • Snuff still doesn't appeal to me at all, but it's really entertaining to see you guys suffer through it.

    Cheers,

    Crow

  • that was a great vid...lol

  • Bless you, Mark! and keep on snuffing~~

  • Try to crinkle up your nose while you sniff the HDT and it wont make it to the back of your throat.

  • At the very beginning, It looked like you you just did cocaine, back in the day, when people first did cocaine, everybody probably thought that they did snuff,

    btw,

1:42 you made no sense... no nicotine to that effect maybe?

  • You make me want to try snuff. Love those F&T tins and the decorative labels. Very old world. But that canister holds so much. It looks like a lifetime of snuff in one package. LOL.

  • like pipes differ from cigarettes in nicotine delivery snuff do differ too from both of them due to the different intake method and its nasal absorbition and usually as i heard it dosent provide tht much of concentration for long time like the pipe do,,its all abt spending more time with it and adopt,,good alternative thu and a healthy one

    cheers

    ahmad

  • Haha, great video :) . It always feels really nice to sneeze after snuff.

  • Another great video!!

    -Matthew

  • I've never tried snuff, looks interesting.

    G

  • Nice sound track and snuff toast Mark. Sweet smoke and peace.
