So the Aircraft Carrier from RA3 uses the 2nd ability, is to use the Blackout missile to immobilize vehicles and buildings ?

yes and to disable units/buildings, but it only last for a few seconds

i never tried it on my own units but i think your units can be disabled by the missile.

but in red alert 2 they send 3 aircraft instead in red alert 3 they send 5

in RA2, each plane from the aircraft carrier fired multiple bombs each, while in RA3, there are more planes but each plane fires 1 bomb each.

So its kind of balance, also RA3 is an alternate universe to RA2

I think RA3 aircraft carriers are better than RA2 due to EMP missile.

I agree with that. It will stop base defenses and heavy units until they are destroyed by enemies.

The aircraft carrier is strong, but it's only weakness is that its planes can go down easily. Besides anti air weapons, all the planes will instantly get destroyed, if the ship gets paralyzed by a rocket angel, something I never really understood.

@theburntshadow they do?? i didn't know that, that's pretty silly... i guess the ship is controlling the planes so when it gets disabled they crash? still silly....

I think the Aircraft Carrier is like the Robot Control Center from Yuri's Revenge.

Why? Well I think it's because the planes are actually UCAV drones boarding the carrier and there are linking establishments responsible for the drone's control maneuvers. So when paralyzed by a Rocket Angel, all systems will shut down at the same way Robot Tanks when Robot Control Center is destroyed or powered down.

@BlackEagle351 hmmm, i think you're right! sure makes a single little rocket angle kind of a massively big deal huh? .... does freezing an aircraft carrier disable its fighters too? or any other stun abilities? i am curious now....

Of course, yeah. Frozen units cannot act. Try experiments, use Blackout Missile to temporarily disable the Aircraft Carrier while in combat to find out if drones instantly shut down when disabled. Then reply back:)

if 2 aircraft carrier fight against 2 shogun battleship along side, the aircraft carrier win as 2 battleship was being too close for each other while one attack and another one will disable both battleship leading the battleship vulnerable. just like 2 mig vs 2 apollo.

@josephtan1818 1v1, carrier wins too. 2v2 it's not even fair as one of them can use its emp missile. (this is without micromanagement of course, i think the shogans can dodge the missile and do their special ramming attack to win....)

i got this game now :D my favorite units is the armageden tank and this one.once the aircraft carriers planes go to attack something they will follow the unit nonstop until it drops its bomb.
