What people fail to realize, is that ECW fans, unlike the sheep that watch WWE today, know what they want. Real wrestlers, not Vince's blown up goons.
The REAL ECW was made up of former independent wrestlers, international wrestlers from Japan and Mexico, and 'castoffs' from the WCW and WWF.
These men worked their asses off, and no matter what style they had, the fans appreciated them for their efforts. Many lived in the immediate area around the old arena, and the people knew them well.
