@civicdoc Hey thanks. I use the input line on my macbook to record the audio (from the Rane mixer's aux output) using audacity. I use gopro hd camera to record the video, then just sync the vid and audio together using imovie.

@DjCheffolo I dont usually reply to comments, but if you're using vinyl turntables and dont want to dish out money's on vinyls then theres an easy solution, it could cost you anywere from £100 onwards,

what i use is Touch DVS, its basically timecode vinyls, and a soundcard, and software, so you can use any track on your computer and play it through your vinyls and mixer :) but you can search for anything like it on the internet :)

@DjCheffolo My set up altogether with mixer, vinyl turntables, and sound card (includes software) came to around about £350 - £400, now this seems like alot, but it will pay off, and i havnt personally used the traktorS4 but i have used MIDI controllers like it, they are good, but it all depends on what you intend to do with your equipment, if you want to do partys and gigs, it tends to be easyier with MIDI controllers, as alot of the time you will find the vinyl mights skip and ruin the set.

@DjCheffolo and infact thats not alot to pay, compared to the traktorS4, ive just ordered some CDj's which i can also use with Touch DVS, using the timecode cd's that came free with the whole package, they're pretty basic, around £300 - £400 again, but this is just to make my portable DJ'ing easier.

I'm sorry to hear that you have cancer, but honestly, stop fucking trying to make us feel bad. You're mixing is creative, yet mediocre at best and I have no idea how you won 2nd place. You're first mix was off one beat. Your mix into Clear was absolutely terrible. You can't mix vocals together -- it doesn't sound good at all. You're trims are way off. Sorry to sound harsh. This just isn't good at all.

I Love you mixing style. Fast and Dramatic. Khoolhandz, my mom survived cancer not only once, but TWICE! She's way past 50 years old and she did it. Twice the opened her up and removed total 3/4 of her left lung. Your young, athletic (from the look of the cool bikes, the pictures on your wall and the cool thing on your head, I'm guessing your a bike guru!) and a hell of a good DJ. Mixing takes your head away from your problems and this is good! Stay positive and you'll make it through!
