The Atari ST had poor sound compared to the earlier Commodore 64, but since it had a much more powerful 16bit Motorola 68000 processor running at 8Mhz, compared to the 1Mhz 8 bit 6510 processor on the Commodore 64, many people managed to use the processor to assist and produce what was missing from the sound chip in demos, the problem was it used too much processing time to use during real gameplay where Atari ST music was left bland in comparison. I remember this demo and was impressed though.
I used to love these demos. There was this fat bloke with a beard on my estate who sold them on disk to me for 2 quid a piece. Then me and my mates would get some Starburgers and cheap Rola Cola and mong out in front of them at the weekend. Good times! *sniff*
Yeah its a bit like me as well. Forget commercial music! Scene music most of the time craps all over it, although i must confess i listen to C64 & Amiga productions not ST :) Not knocking the ST though, i came very close to buying one in 1990 but opted for the Amiga instead after a friend of mine bought an Amiga.
Wow... my eyes are distorting reality after reading all that text scrolling at the bottom...
... Great tune, and imo - tomsk's PSX edit really nails the song.

this was always my favourite tune on the cuddly demo, and possibly one of my alltime faves on the ST... still a powerful track after all these years

this must be one of the greatest Rob Hubbard tunes ever, from back in the days where game music was more important than the game itself!
I 'discovered' knucklebuster from this demo on my Atari ST .. it's worth getting the C64 version though, that one is truly incredible!

I always loved this screen for the music. Staring at the "drummer" for 18 minutes got a tid bit boring though.

Yeah I know what you mean. I think I only ever listened to it all the way though twice and one of those was for this video.

Kinda silly now, but I taped it on casette and listened to it on my walkman together with other St musix while cycling to school and back.

Only two things you will find on my MP3 player...The Residents, and ST scene music.
