@Vaskalaze Sorry for the two year response. The S1000RR is the fastest bike in the world. 142 rear wheel kilowatt, and about 180kg. It does 0 - 250 km/h in 10.4 seconds, tested by Motorrad magazine.
@Arlind86 no i mean Yamaha R7...The R1 and R6 are not the only sportbikes Yamaha ever build. The R7 was a rare bike only produced just so that yamaha could compete in WSB(now SBK) at the time which meant a production bike at the 750cc displacement.This bike raced very little had many overheating problems runing on 5 valves on each cylinder was quick. Not a lot of people know of the R7 and those who do either own a 750cc bike of that era (96-2001) or followed WSB. I own a Kawasaki 7R of that area
An F1 car has the advantage of being a car, and having it's technology. There's no way that they would be able to build an engine as powerful as f1 cars have and be able to control it without tech. I can afford a bike that gets to 299Kph easily, while most couldn't afford the insurance on a car that could. Bikes win.
there is no way a bike can follow F1 in corners. bike has no down force like F1. but top speed can be about the same with F1 and moto GP bike. But one doesnt make good lap times only by top speed.
@pasifsc The difference in braking is what gets a bike's ass kicked on a track with a real, (and ohhh do I mean real) car. GSXR 1K 60-0.. about 130 ft. F1..well under 90. Hell, an F1 car can go 0-100-0 in under 5 seconds, thats crazy. And yeah, no bikes keeping up with the F1 car through a 90 mph corner.
Fake but well filmed. I raced superbikes and it no where close to F1 speed on corners and on the straight. I'll be lapped a minute each lap at a minimum.
Check the lap times on the few tracks that F1 and MotoGP share. Don't get me wrong, I prefer to watch MotoGP, but the F1 lap times are much, MUCH quicker. But, um, so what? Like I said, I still prefer MotoGP.
It is a formula one car. Maybe the driver isn't all that great or the F1 car had been detuned a bit. Hard to say but I'll stick with the bike being the fastest.
@exeller8007 not neccersarily, round a seriously twisty track the f1 will have no downforce and struggle to get round... the bike wont. on a track fast enough for downforce to work, then the f1 will dissapear into the distance without a doubt :) and what about a motocross bike on a motocross track? ;)

F1 cars can brake up to -5.5 G's, which is more negative G's than most fighter pilots face on a routine basis. Because they brake so much better they can hold their speed longer into a corner, waiting until just the last second to mash the brakes and slow down before accelerating back into the corner. The bike will slow down much before the F1 car for the same turn.

2006 F1 V10 car accelerates from 0-200 kph in 3.5 seconds. I don't think any bikes but drag racing bikes that can do it faster. They just can't get the power to the ground.

-you're correct; while it is no easy task to control an F1 car, it is FAR easier than a bike. bikes are harder to handle, ride for long periods of time due to positioning & hand cramps, provide FAR less crash protection, are always clutch/manual, do worse in bad weather, & can slip MUCH easier than a car.
-F1 cars & super cars are still loads of fun though. :P

@Renceau What exactly is a "technical" circuit? If it is a circuit with a bit of bredth to it, allowing bikes to take wider lines, then teh bike will hold its own. If it is a narrow circuit full of twisties, then the bike will lose ground.
@Renceau Yeah taking F1's out f teh equation, the bikes will hold their own with most other cars. The downforce genereated by the F1 aerodynamics, combined with their high power and low weight makes them unbeatable on pretty much any circuit.
Have a look on Youtube for other car (not F1) v bike setups - where the circuit has a bit of width, the bikes can take better lines, and dont lose too much in the corners, and dominate on straights.
The best MotoGP bikes aren't even in the same class as F1 cars in terms of lap times, no comparison at all. Four huge contact patches and MASSIVE downforce make all the difference, even though MotoGP are no slouch at acceleration.

Dumb video. Riding a motorcycle at those speeds is far more difficult than driving at those speeds. I don't care if the car wins, there is no comparison in the level of nerve and physical demands of riding a motorcycle that fast. You actually have to "SHIFT" the motorcycle and not just rely on all the gadgets and you only have two tires, in comparison to four.

2006 F1 V10 car accelerates from 0-200 kph in 3.5 seconds. I don't think any bikes but drag racing bikes that can do it faster. They just can't get the power to the ground.

I watch Top Gear all the time and they always line up there cars with bikes but it always a high powerd car. They never use a real super bike or a good rider that can push the bike to the limit. But in this clip you can see that a bike is faster than a car. I knew it . Hell yea!!!!!!

I used to ride...but I was in a horrible accident in 1996.. I was fortunate to walk away with no more than a few scratches... good thing the semi coming in the other lane saw me in time to stop after I was on the road... Some stupid old lady who should not have been driving in the first place swerved to miss a fucking Chihuahua and hit me instead...I sued the hell out of her..and WON!. I don't care what anyone's age is..if they are wrong they are wrong...and she sure was. 4 wheels for me now.

-you're correct; while it is no easy task to control an F1 car, it is FAR easier than a bike. bikes are harder to handle, ride for long periods of time due to positioning & hand cramps, provide FAR less crash protection, are always clutch/manual, do worse in bad weather, & can slip MUCH easier than a car.
-F1 cars & super cars are still loads of fun though. :P

F1 weight minimum : 620kg. 1367lb including driver
motogp weight : 165kg. 360lb without rider , so 70 kg +
that's efficiency, the bike does pretty much the same, but weights much less.

You know what I like about bikes? For less than 1200$ you can get 500cc bike with performance of Ferrari lol (60mph/100kmh in 4 seconds?) and it owns most sport cars on the public roads =D btw It makes me laugh when I can see ppl, traffic lights in sport cars, stopping next to me and revving engine on me lol I'm like "In You dreams sweetie xD".

@Renceau What exactly is a "technical" circuit? If it is a circuit with a bit of bredth to it, allowing bikes to take wider lines, then teh bike will hold its own. If it is a narrow circuit full of twisties, then the bike will lose ground.

@Renceau Yeah taking F1's out f teh equation, the bikes will hold their own with most other cars. The downforce genereated by the F1 aerodynamics, combined with their high power and low weight makes them unbeatable on pretty much any circuit.
Have a look on Youtube for other car (not F1) v bike setups - where the circuit has a bit of width, the bikes can take better lines, and dont lose too much in the corners, and dominate on straights.

The best MotoGP bikes aren't even in the same class as F1 cars in terms of lap times, no comparison at all. Four huge contact patches and MASSIVE downforce make all the difference, even though MotoGP are no slouch at acceleration.

is not a fair comparison, if the bike is street should be compared with a road car, if you take off the wings to F1 would happen? could not go fast, is a prototype .. anyway always go faster in according to the circuits, because if they put them in a circuit karting, always win the bike, even a simple supermotard, it would be funny to see her leave to ridicule an entire f1, but it is always the same, depends on the circuit, nothing more ..

Dumb video. Riding a motorcycle at those speeds is far more difficult than driving at those speeds. I don't care if the car wins, there is no comparison in the level of nerve and physical demands of riding a motorcycle that fast. You actually have to "SHIFT" the motorcycle and not just rely on all the gadgets and you only have two tires, in comparison to four.
