  • Yep that is a money shot. I got a CSX there once.

  • i cant believe it, 5 IAIS in one day,

    and i was at work

    UGH

    but GREAT video

  • Thanks, Matt!

Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. I was just taking a trip to try to see some EJ&E and then I got word of a westbound Iowa.

  • Great video

  • Thanks, David!

  • awe$ome

  • Thanks, Ben!

  • perfect he even gave you an extra honk and they put the GEVO last!! And its a killer view!!!!! A true money shot. Thanks for bringing this to youtubes railfan community. we appreciate it!!!

  • Thanks, DeVerne!

    You're welcome.

  • Your Welcome Nic.

So are you going to take a trip to corwith to see the stored SD60MS and GP60Bs?

  • I'd like to. Hopefully, the SD60M's and GP60B's come back into service once the economy picks up.

  • id say the SD60Ms have a better chance of being used again the the GP60BS.

  • Yeah. I heard that the SD40-2's will be returning as well.

  • come on. i dont think they will. I HOPE THEY DO!!! but im unsure that they will. i just hope that they leave the leslies and K3LAS alone on them. i see the pity palce at Murray yard at the back end every time we go by. ive heard some old BNSF classics might be up for sale. even some of the last 50 Oakways are in storage in Lincoln nebraska. pretty soon i may just stop railfanning. its just not fun anymore. do you agree? what do you think about all of this?

  • With the economy the way it is, it's pretty unsure what will happen to anything. The old stuff is just sidelined for the time being until business picks up.

I wouldn't stop railfanning, though. As long as there's a train nearby...that's good enough for me. :-)

  • how could they put SD60MS in to storage ???? there strong 6 axel EMDs !!!!!

  • the old classics were what made it fun the variety of rare sometimes practicly obsolete power paint schemes and horns and railroads they are now owned by. but now all ya see are SD70MACS GEVOS and SD70ACEs. yeah the econmy is bad. standerdinization sucks,

  • Awesome shot Nick!! Mooonnnnnneeyyyy!!

  • Thanks, Turner!

  • Awesome!

  • Thanks, Trey!

  • Great video

  • Thanks, Peter!

  • Awesome!-iv'e been waiting to catch a train on that line for years.

  • Thanks! For about the past year, the only hope of catching a daylight Iowa Interstate in Morris would be the CBBI and that was only if it was running really late (which has been happening lately).

  • I was down there in the early morning (Joliet)-waiting for J746 (the early, early train-never showed up....idk

  • The two daily CSX trains normally run during the early morning hours under darkness, but when the IAIS runs two or more westbounds at night, the eastbound J746 gets delayed out of Ottawa, setting up a daylight appearance in Joliet. I caught the 746 a couple times this year in daylight around Joliet and, luckily enough, the westbound 745.
