  • this think is beast

  • i can't wait untill i get 8 gigs of this ram!

  • Can I use two kingston KVR1333D3S8N9/2G-SP MEMORY UPGRADE with one already using and another one now?

  • mine is gold

  • Comment removed

  • which Hyper X is this? Kingston makes more than three different kinds.

  • dnt be fooled,,why do u use different cpus????????????? those bench r irrelevant zz

  • worth to note is that theese run MUCH hotter then any of its competitors , 1.9 volts man wow , im having high temps on my Corsair 1600mhz XMS3 with a case FULL with fans, i dont even wanna know what theese produce.

  • Yes, Kingston is the masters of memory. I used to prefer San disk Pen drives and now my first choice is Kingston. I've always had outstanding performance from the first boot and on with Kingston. Another really good brand is A data merely based on all the positive reviews of many of their memory modules. They too also add a sense of style to their heat spreaders and modules overall appearance. They are also inexpensive.

  • why are these rams NOISY? do you think i have a defective ram? i ran memtest on it whole evening found nothing. but its noisy! should i RMA it and get corsair instead?

  • the kingston KVR is cheaper and is practicly the same thing

  • @matawin2 hi matawin2 can i ask something?

why are these rams NOISY? do you think i have a defective ram? i ran memtest on it whole evening found nothing. but its noisy! should i RMA it and get corsair instead?

  • @niels2029 i never heard any ram making noise. it might be a defective capacitor on the power suply or video card instead. if you changed the voltage tahst might be the issue

  • @matawin2 okay i will check when i come back from vacation. i will let you know again

  • @Remi1115

its how fast you ram is running bigger number slower ram, BUT!!!! you need to slow it down to make your processor work most of the time when you get to higher speeds or your PC crashes and reboots.

  • @SuperDeluxe80

    Ok, thank you.

  • It doesnt support the i7. F this piece of crap.

  • @EvanProductions2 search before crying ... this is the 1.7-1.9v version for amd , get the 1.65v version is you want to run in on intel.

  • I also have 2 of this RAM. I gain overclock until 1780Mhz for both but for one RAM only i got 1760Mhz. Both without increase the voltage. Im using Gigabyte P55-USB3L. Emm.. WHAT IS THE FUNCTION OF PRIME95 ???? PLEASE ANSWER

  • why overclocking the hardware its done to run at normal temperature why trying of making overheat your hardware to get a 400-500 mhz of more me i don't understand its not like in the time when there was only a Pentium 2 ruining at 350mhz with 128kb of cache and you overclock it to get 150-200 mhz of more so you was sure of getting enough of frequency but now you get easy a processor of 4x3ghz with 8-12 mb cache if its not enough fast i don't understand .....

  • @riskakos1 it's Genesis

  • So which version of hyperx is this? blu or genesis?

  • how tall is this ram? Im looking to see if this will fit under my thermalright silver arrow CPU cooler.

  • @PCWizKid I want to buy either a 6GB kit or a 8 i will be running a AMD X6 which kingston hyperx kit should i buy for the AMD?

  • WHAT is the difference between blu and non-blu HYperX???

  • *** WARNING *** overclocking makes ALL guarantees null and void !!! ...

  • I'm getting 8 gigs of this stuff for my high-performance computer I am currently building. If your "2 gigs of this=4 gigs of normal RAM" rule still applies, I will have the equivilant of 16 fricking gigs of RAM!

  • Thanks for this review, I'm getting this! :)

  • Hi,

What about the 8GB kit of HyperX DDR3 1600Mhz (2x4GB)? Will it perform like this one or even better? Part number is KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX.

Cause I was thinking of buying it.

Thanks for the Video, excellent review!!

  • The site i buy from got me worried when they listed the Kingston HyperX 8GB kit as cheaper than 6gb and even 4gb kits from Corsair and Mushkin. Thanks to you im assured that Kingston delivers cheaper, better and more :D

  • Kingston is simply the best, have had Corsair fail time and time again

  • epic :d Getting 2x3GB of these :D

  • First wanted to buy 1600 Mhz from KingstonHyperX, but I would probably go for CL8. I now run 4GB 1333 Mhz CL7, could I get that stable on 1600 CL8??

  • will this ram will get more fps in games??

  • all i will use is 1066 or 1333, anything higher is an absolute waste of time and money, just get 8 gigs memory , more than enough for any normal gaming system.

1600 and up is for power users and bench markers or complete idiots that think they are benefiting from it. really your eye would never notice the difference between 800Mhz - 1333Mhz

  • whats does ganged and unganged mean?

  • Does this only run stable at 1.9V?

  • do these work with a intel i5 2400 1155 socket sandy bridge and a asus P8P67 PRO 1155 socket motherboard please reply some one??

  • @Stebbzi97 No, buy their new HyperX Blu, they're running at 1.5V, sandy's ram volt peak is 1.65V

  • i have this ram memory, but they are running at 667 mhz, i use an integrated graphips hd 4290 running at 667 mhz, is it the problem?

  • corsair dominator 1600 cl8 4gb (2x2) vs this kingston ram??

  • Hey, Im thinking of getting the Kingston HyperX KHX1600C8D3T1K2/4GX (2x2GB) (with the awesome heatsink lol) and an AMD Phenom II 955 x4 Black Edition. Will I be able to run that RAM at 1600MHz or higher (if I overclock) or will it run at lower speeds?

  • Whats the difference of latency and Mhz?

  • i got those XD <3

  • Try Asian women **busizz4me.info**

  • Hey make sure ur sure bout this RAM... cause i rlly took ur advice and i bought it..is 4gb tho...dual channel

  • Is the additional $30 (give or take) worth the +3ns difference? You decide.

  • great bro

  • I have 4x 2gb 1600mhz but it runs at 1333mhz. how can i raise it to 1600mhz if i can. Cause i go to Bios settings and then theres no option to run it at 1600mhz

  • Please help... Gotta build 8Gb system on ASUS M4A87TD-EVO, but due to poor supply, can build it just with 2Gb modules, or dual channel kits (2x2Gb). Could you be so kind and recommend something? How about KINGSTON 2GB 1600MHz DDR3 KHX1600C9D3/2G times 4? It is not going to be a OC machine... Thank you!

  • i got 2GB (2x1GB) of Kingston DDR3 1600 intalled on my MSi E65 motherboard.

Can I fill up the remaining two slots with DDR3 RAM of different brand and capacity,

    ie. 2x4GB ?

  • So, please, 1. with CPU AMD Phenom II X4 965 Quad-Core will this works at 1600mhz or 1333 mhz... and MY motherboard support 1600OC mhz Ram... 2. 6GB DDR3 1333mhz vs. 4GB DDR3 1600mhz - For gaming... Thanks and sorry to my english.

  • kinston is not better than g.skill....

  • @rastderb g.skill is not cheaper than kingston...

  • Hi,

I bought 2x1gb of theese and a Gigabyte ep45t-udlr3 mobo but the clock on memory is 1333mhz.Why doesn't it run at 1600?The mobo is supposed to run 2200+.

  • @bunghoolio1

because AMD cpu's only go up to 1333mhz

  • @BKsMassive I have a core 2 duo E6750.(intel)

  • @BKsMassive Obv not, if that was the case then why do ASUS AMD mobo's support upto 2000mhz?

  • I am hoping buy 4 x 2GB DDR3 Hyper at 1600MHz for a x58 4 way SLI classified, can we fix the hyper x cooling fan if i get 4x2gb DDR3 or are there any specific sets to buy if i am fixing the fan? and hw will the cost be in US$ tks

  • this ram is good i have it

  • I have this kit running @ 1736 Mhz (11-11-11-29) using 1.8 v.

  • did they beat the dominator gt´s?

  • I want 8 gigs of this beast! Would be a nice upgrade tbh!

  • This is great ram I am using the exact ram but i run 8gigs with my 955 oc @ 4ghz stable

  • hi another great video, so if i got this for a phenom ii 955 system i would have to decrease the frequency of the ram to 1333?

  • i have this 3kit 1600 6gb and its working nice and fast. Gaming goes good on it :D

  • i just ordered a 4 gig kit of KHX1600C9D3K2/4G cant wait!!!!!!

  • can i use this ram with AMD CPU YES OR NO ??? HELP

  • @smileforeverever yes, i ordered the 4 GB kit for my phenom 2 X4 965 build and it is a non XMP kit, XMP stands for Intel extreme memory profiles, XMP is meant for high end intel processors like their Core 2 extreme and X58 chips, this ram will do fine for you

  • You can't compare a 2g kit vs. 4gb kits. That isn't a fair comparison at all. The more ram you have, the more delay there will be for all the sticks to work together. Such minor differences also won't be noticed at all in real life applications or games. You will get far more benefit from the extra ram (4gb) than you will from anything else.

  • thx 4 the video i got 8 gigs of hyperX ddr3 and its is so fast it is sick great review

  • Whoa, so your saying.... at the same speed kingston pwns! even at lower capacity!

  • Corsair > Kingston > Crucial > Other xD

  • so i cant use the 1.9 volt with my i7? ;s fuck

  • I have this RAM for my Crosshair III Formula mobo and I want to oc it to it's 1600 clock speed but I don't know how? When I manually pick 1600, my system wont start. haha. PCwiz please help me.

  • 1.9 dram volt. for a i7? heard that it shoudlnt be above 1.65v.

  • @mymom1234, that is why this kit I reviewed is not for the i7, and was tested on a AMD Phenom system. I said in the video that there is a triple channel core i7 kit which is different.

  • k, didnt notice.

  • @PCWizKid hello can i use ddr3 1600Mhz 4gb ram on my motherboard msi eclipse sli ?

    my motherboard specs says:

    • Supports six unbuffered DIMM of 1.5 Volt DDR3 800/1066/1333*/1600* (OC) SDRAM, 24GB Max

wat does it mean by 1600* (OC) ??

    thanks

  • can i use 1gigx 6 ram modules on a x58 motherboard? is this possible? help guys, thanks

  • @kipdokken can use but wont give the same performance as a 6gig kit as in 3 x2 gb

  • @pcwizkid,Will this ram support the ga-790xta-ud4?

  • i got 4 gig of Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1333MHz 4GB awesome ram!

  • Kingston HyperX FTW^^

  • Frys in indusrt socal 79.99 3gb kit 3x1gb

  • This is a top of the line Kingston Memory.

  • What do you think of A-Data XPG 1333MHz DDR3 RAM?

  • on thsi pc site it says that the speed of the amd 955 doesnt match the speed of the ram? why is this

  • I have my memory (8 gigs) running at 1600 or 1800 with my Phenom II X4 965 however max is 1333? ._.? works for me.

  • Hello man,

I want to ask u if KINGSTON HyperX @ 4GB(2xDual Channel) @ 1333Mhz with 7ns latency is better then this

  • Can you use 1600 MHz memory on AM3 system?

  • @3t3rnalDamnation, yes you can, but you will need to lower it to 1333Mhz in the BIOS settings.

  • TY for your reply, would you recommenc of buying 1333 MHz and overclocking it to 1600 MHz

or buying 1600 MHz and lowering it to 1333 MHz? :D

  • @PCWizKid Rally? Because I already have 2 at 1333mhz (4gb total) and I wanted to replace them with 2 of these, my motherboard says that it supports DDR3 1666+ (gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P) and I am using a Phenom II X4 965 at 3.4ghz. If I have to lower them at 1333mhz then it looks like I don't need them at all, or will my motherboard and CPU suport the 1600mhz? Thanks

  • @PCWizKid hm? lower it?.. why? if it comes at 1600mhz why do you have to lower it :S my 790xt-a-ud4 says 1866 support

  • @PCWizKid I don't get it.. didn't you just run yours on 1600? So why pay more for 1600 when it won't run =S

  • @madzane94 It will run higher than 1600Mjz, but you then give up the latency speeds by doing that. So pick which is more important to you Latency or the Mhz

  • @PCWizKid or you could up the voltage and do both :)

  • @PCWizKid So is kingston lying when they say that it is a 1600Mhz memory with 9-9-9-24 latency? because I tested these modules and the latency is 11-11-11-27 if set at 1600Mhz, they keep the 9-9-9-24 latency if set at 1333Mhz.

And what would be better for performance, higher frequency or lower latency?

    Thanks.

  • @PCWizKid For the record, the numbers I wrote down before were for the 4GB kit, when I said that I tested these modules I meant the hyper x, not the exact kit shown in the video, sorry for the inconvenience. Anyone answering my previous comment will of course be welcome :)

  • @PCWizKid

Hey, are Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600Mhz is compatible with AMD Athlon || x4 640 processor, and Asrock 790GX motherboard ?

  • @PCWizKid aren't latency and mhz directly propotional

  • @madzane94 It also depend on your motherboard. I use asus evo785 and run my ram at 1600Mhz with no problem.

  • @madzane94 I agree

  • @PCWizKid You shouldn't need that cause my motherboard takes up to 1800 mhz , i guess it's different on every motherboard.

  • @PCWizKid hi my useing a MSI , amd mainboard 770 c45 , and i read on the net it support up to 1333mhz and 1600 mhz OC, so will i be able to use this 1600mhz ram??

  • @PCWizKid Why it needs to be clocked down and what about mobos that supports for 1600 mhz ram? explain please =]

  • @supadupamadafaka Actually, it needs to be overclocked to 1600MHz in your BIOS if you have an AMD-based chipset. Max in an AMD chipset is 1333MHz without manual overclocking. Afaik, Intel mobos support much higher RAM clock rates without OC'ing.

  • @Cashcow55 So if I get this RAM togther with AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition, do I need to overclock it to 1600MHz? Can I go over that?

  • @MrAleckazee I wouldn't recommend OC'ing RAM if you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing. RAM OC'ing results in such minimal perf increases that I don't think it's necessary unless you're building a rig specifically to benchmark (pointless). I'd go with 4 / 8 gb of some high quality 1333MHz memory, if I were you.

  • @Cashcow55 Ah ok. But the motherboard I'm getting gives you the choice of overclocking the RAM automatically if you want. Thanks anyway

  • @ PCWizKid You say that I have to lower it to 1333, how to go to 800 MHz per channel, which has two. 1600 MHz total. I say that I saw the CPU-Z result in your video. Need to overclock your RAM?

I have a pair of OCZ Gold Edition 2 x 2 GB of 1600 on an AMD Phenom X4 965 and I can not get more than 1333 MHz Do you think it worthwhile to change some OCZ Gold for some Kingston HyperX?

    Thanks for the reply.

  • @TOMASCACHOPRIETO you need to go into the bios and change it manually and change dram volts to 1.7

  • @ PCWizKid You say that I have to lower it to 1333, how to go to 800 MHz per channel, which has two. 1600 MHz total. I say that I saw the CPU-Z result in your video. Need to overclock your RAM?

  • @PCWizKid Would this ram work in an Asrock N68-S3 UCC motherboard? Some say you can't, however on the website it states it can use ddr3 1600 memory as overclocked.

    JNR

  • @3t3rnalDamnation Jesus, for Christs sake of course you can..

  • @3t3rnalDamnation Yes I am

  • nice 128 rating :D

  • Kingston Hyper X is a killer for other RAM's indeed....I use it and It's Awesome !!!!

  • 2gb ddr3 VS 4gb ddr2 ?

  • I have 8 gb of those, they are awesome

  • @manx1127

if you upgrade you pc (later) go to 2gig 1600mhz,if you dont upgrade (in future) you pc go to 4gigs

  • Hi PCWizKid!

I have watched almost all your videos and they are amazing!

I am planning to build an i5 system with the Kingston HyperX 1600 Mhz ram you have reviewed:

    Mobo - P55 GD65

    CPU - i5 750

    GPU - 5850

I intend to use the rig mainly for gaming. Since you have not benchmarked the ram for gaming, will this 2GB ram outperform the 4GB kit of other manufacturer when it comes to gaming?

    Hoping for your reply!

  • I mean , these do use 1.7v-1.9v unlike the G.skill ones that are on 1.6v or 1.5v if im not wrong .....Lower voltage , Same frequency and lower latency , WHAT TO GET?

  • O_O , WOW! unbelievable results .... HOW CAN IT BE POSSIBLE?!?! hmm....seems too good to be true , Should i get 4 Gigs of these or a G.Skill Ripjaws CL7 1600Mhz (2x2GB) kit?

  • Thet3

if money for you not problem get radeon 5970 :)

  • I don't know whether to get this RAM or the Patriot Extreme gaming series RAM for my Gigabyte ma790fxt-ud5p.

  • hi with the phenom cant use memory with 2000mhz and that mother is capable for running that speed memory at 1600mhz because i have a ecs a790gxm-ad3 and appears only works with memory of 1333mhz i ask because i buy this memory the mother reconize or not

    bye

  • Please give me recommendation between these RAMs. corsair tr3x3g1333c9

  • Will triple channel RAM work in AMD Phenom2X4955 and Asus M4A785TD-V EVO?

  • Just one thing: CoreI5 doesn't use triple channel memory. But I understand as this video has been made before CoreI5 was out.

  • @PCWizKid, What is the difference between them? Or there are no difference?

  • How to know if it is dual channel or single channel?

  • @HKSTechVideos, DDR2 is Dual Channel, DDR3 is Dual channel by default also unless it says on it and its sold in kits of 6GB. 4GB DDR3 kits are always dual channel.

  • ive had a couple of 4 gig Kingston 1333mhz DDR3 kits for weeks now which are still in their packaging

now i have a question i need to ask, someone told me the other day they're set to 1066mhz by default and i need to set it to the values specified by Kingston

would it be better to set the voltage and timings in the BIOS or just use software to do it in the OS?

i cant do this until i have the rest of the parts for my rig, but some advice would be really appreciated, peace

  • @undeadshooter, Hi, yes set the DDR at 1333Mhz in the BIOS first, then leave everything else at default and test the PC see if it runs fine , and check with the CPU-Z the times , you can then later go back to the BIOs after to tweak further.

  • @PCWizKid I'm buying this Kingston HyperX 4GB DDR3 1600MHz over the 2GB..What do you think? It will be the same as you viewed in this video? :)

  • @Mupp1t, go for it , you wont regret it, just make sure to install a 64bit OS if you want to use 4GB+ of RAM in the future.

  • Hey PCWizKid Im trying to build a Pc without bottleneck!!!

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Quad-Core CPU/ Asus Crosshair III Formula AM3 DDR3 790FX CrossFire Chipset with Quad PCIE slot / Kingston HyperX 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Module/ ATI Radeon HD 5870 PCI-E 16X 1GB DDR5 Video Card. sorry for the long read!!

Do you think i should add or change anything????

  • NO! Exellent PC!

  • @Thet3 hows the computer?

  • @Thet3 hows the computer?

  • @Thet3 hows the computer?

did you buy the set up?

  • I have a problem with this RAM,

    I have a GA-MA790FXT-UD5P and i cant get my memory to 1600mhz, stucked at PC3-10700(667Mhz) 11,11,11,29.

I tried to increase voltage to 1,9 volt and the bios says 8x = 1600Mhz 9,9,9,27...

but after that the PC couldnt reboot so CLEARMOS whas my only alternatvie.... HELP!

  • And my CPU-Z says that it's Single channel?? why not dual like yours, we have the same memory?

  • thanks hon

  • Sir,

I was wonderng what is the difference between the kit you examined and this one : KHX1600C8D3K3 which is the ‏3x2GB Kingston HyperX Triple Channel ‎.

do the kits differ by the latency or something ??

    tanks in advance

  • @ypaul123, The triple channel is for the Core i7, this kit I reviewed is the regular for AMD AM3 CPU's for example and is dual channel.

  • some1 recommend me a good graphics card for imax x3515 (4GB RAM). thanks

  • I have a Crosshair III Formula (AM3), please recommend me the best modules for it. Money is not a problem. I want to install 4GB of RAM.

  • @Merts478, get the Patriot Viper II 4GB Kit or the Kignston HyperX they are the fastest.

  • So can u just put this into any motherboard with a matching number of pins?

  • @LordRehan, you can install it in a DDR3 capable motherboard only.

  • Thought so. Thanks

  • lol i have this too now

    i remake complet my computer

  • A 4GB test would have been good using this RAM. Any chance of doing one?

Also, what SSD would you recommend? Around the 120GB mark.

  • OCZ Gold 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 2000MHz

that is what you need , i love mine

  • how you got the 184 pin one ?

  • Yeah that's why u have 2 GB of Kingston in my laptop and it is awesome.

  • could you make a video of what would be the perfect computer configuration because i would like to know if i ever upgrade my computer

  • they are awesome i gonna buy them soon :)

  • Anyone know what the music is in the first 10 seconds?

  • wow !!!

  • I have two of em

  • I have 4gb of ddr2 1066 5-5-5-15 hyper X and it has been so awesome! and 5-5-5-15 for 1066 is realllllly fast!

  • weeeee thats my ram xD ~

i have 2 in my pc .. its great too ^^

  • @pcwizkid does this work on laptops or do u kno any good ram for laptops

  • WOW! Amazing! I have Corsair XMS3 6 GB triple-channel! I see that you benched the dual-channel! That is some good memory! Keep up the good work! 5/5
