@999933333 Flying depends on air. when the air you're trying to fly on is moving into the tube you're helpless. It's like trying to run off a really fast treadmill.
I used just a water hose with a spray nozzle and that cleared out the nest after I flooded it with water pressure. The wasps all got drenched and were stumbling around so I hosed them all down to the gutter. Then I hosed the nest for about 3 min and knocked it down with a long 1 x 1 piece of wood. All teh larvae were hosed out onto the ground and presumable dead. I then hosed them out to the gutter. Some wasps dried off and flew around up there wondering where their nest was. Whats next?
thats cool and all but i think i'll just stick with my method, spray the nest with raid, go back inside for about thirty minutes and then hit it down with a stick. Although that wouldn't have worked on the nest inside the diving board at my grandpa's pool, that damn thing was full of red wasps and was around three or four feet long and like four or five inches thick. I called the exterminator for that big mother effer
Looks like Paperwasps. The pesticide is probably unnecessary. They are a relatively tame species. Not as aggressive as yellow jackets or other common wasps. So beware using these methods on larger hives, with much more aggressive and numerous species.
You can put a cotton swab of acetone in the vacuum canister. It usually takes care of them within a few minutes. Although I have not tried, I was told that about 1" of water at the base of the canister will work too.
just burn it

You can try to get rid of those pesky wasps without plugging in, but I believe you may not get the expected results. :o

Did he just tell me to make sure my shit is plugged in before I try to use it? Is he from the help desk or something?

if you use a dry vac...use water, but you must add a little dish soap also, that will kill them.

Yes when they take up residence, they can be a real pain. He! He! Definitely unwanted guests!

I live in Texas too, and I swear that every 5 minutes I have to do a wasp hunt because the summers are hot and them bastards pop up everywhere.
cancerbubble85 1 year ago
There is a little water in the wet dry vac. The water drowns the wasps. It really works.
