Musical perfection: One of the finest female vocalists of the 1920s backed by the greatest dance band in my opinion, -- Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orchestra.
Her singing on this record makes me think she must have been a Force of Nature. I would like to have been in the studio when she recorded this song. She sounds like she was on fire that day.

Jane Green was one of my favorite singers back in the 1920's. Rest her soul.

Mine too! Splendid.

If we stop at 1930, I would agree. I think my other two would be Annette Hanshaw and Ruth Etting. Well, maybe Marion Harris too.

My 20's favorites are Belle Baker, Marion Harris and Jane Green. Annette is good too but does not have the strong vocal that I like so much.
