  • Musical perfection: One of the finest female vocalists of the 1920s backed by the greatest dance band in my opinion, -- Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orchestra.

  • @victorbrunswick No doubt about Mr Shilkret. I have a selection of songs by him that I will be posting.

  • i have 2 sing this song in front of my whole s.s. class 4 a project haha :)

  • This is intoxicating!! I love it!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Her phrasing and enunciation are crisp yet fluid. I like this song.

  • wher i can get her songs?

  • Try searching amazon.

  • Jeez!

  • Jane Green was one of my favorite singers back in the 1920's. Rest her soul.

  • Jane is one of my top five singers of the 1920's.

  • Her singing on this record makes me think she must have been a Force of Nature. I would like to have been in the studio when she recorded this song. She sounds like she was on fire that day.

  • She is one the best 20's singers. Glad you like her too.

  • super....she's dynamite! now my favorite version of this tune...thanks.

  • She is one of my top 3 1920's female singers.

  • Mine too! Splendid.

  • If we stop at 1930, I would agree. I think my other two would be Annette Hanshaw and Ruth Etting. Well, maybe Marion Harris too.

  • My 20's favorites are Belle Baker, Marion Harris and Jane Green. Annette is good too but does not have the strong vocal that I like so much.
