Communication via texting and e-mail always is a rhetoric room for battle-I am in the Peace & Justice Minor at UVU and that is not what invisible is meant...and doing rather than arguing over rhetoric is feeding the very nature just on a smaller scale.
Notice how none of those activists are black? I think I saw one guy out of a crowd of hundreds.
Do you middle to upper class white teenagers know how to end poverty and violence in Africa? Stop sending aid money there and supporting the extreme culture of dependence. There's no incentive for them to better themselves when there's always food, medicine, clothes and money flowing in.
No first world country needed activists to build themselves up. They just needed time and the will of the people.
@huidoe Obviously you haven't done any research on Invisible Children. If you had you'd know that they do far more than just "aid." Avoiding a culture of dependence is one of their top priorities and that is evident with their programs in Uganda such as rebuilding schools, education, and creating jobs. And all the programs in Uganda are run by Ugandans.
